Honestly, how many of us would have thought we would be Tom Brady fans three years ago??? I sure as hell wouldn't have believed I would....
Payton is one hell of a creative coach and right now, we all despise him but if he were to come here, we would likely change our tune
We even accepted AB, lol
Comparison wise: Belicheck coaching the Jets or Bills. Tomlin coaching the Ravens. It just doesn’t happen.

No one? I am seriously saying that I do not want Payton as the HC of the Buccaneers. I think he is the wrong person for the job for multiple reasons. You can disagree with me all you want. You can label it whatever you want. The better question is why would Payton want to leave the Saints? If it is because he is afraid of the rebuild then he is not all that good of a coach, right? I guess the other option is that he is crazy.!!King Bootz wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 11:26 am That's just fandom talk they think makes them sound cool.

Relax, it's just Ross blowing smoke. He in no way would pass on Harbaugh for the "sake of Michigan".MJW wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 9:30 amIf you think Jim Harbaugh is the best coach of the Dolphins, and you can get him, you owe it to the actual Dolphins fans to try. The people who buy the season tickets and the hats and the $50 parking. The idea that Ross would refuse to pursue Harbaugh because it would hurt his alma mater should fundamentally piss Dolphins fans off. Especially when they've been so consistently mediocre since he bought the team, and especially since he just fired a relatively successful and promising head coach.
In fact I see that as possibly the most likely of all the rumored moves to actually happen. Ross loves Harbaugh. Only thing that would muck it up is if Harbaugh presses for too much control too soon.
Re: NFL Head Coach Hot Seat
Sean Payton waiting until the nanosecond the Saints window was closed and then running away seems very on-brand.
Good luck to the next guy with no QB, one legit weapon, and 50 mil in cap space to find just to get to zero.

Giants tooAccording to Matt Lombardo of FanSided.com, the Dolphins top choice from what he has been hearing is Daboll. Daboll, according the Lombardi is “enamored” with Tua Tagovailoa so the chance to work with him again could be something that sways him.

Enamored lol.

Awesome news for us, top 3 coach in the NFL and maybe the best at offensive game plans.

I know there’s a -0% chance of this because he’s under contract but I’d like to see what Sean Payton could do with Trevor Lawrence

Re: NFL Head Coach Hot Seat
A lot of Bucs fans hate him, but he's a really great coach. He's kept that team as a constant contender through injuries, regressions, cap casualties, whatever.
I think he'd do great with almost any QB. He made Drew Brees, Teddy B, Taysom Hill, Trevor Seimian, and Jameis Winston their best under his system.

And now that the work is getting tough, he's running like a bitch.

Re: NFL Head Coach Hot Seat
Some rumors are he was really upset with how the league was handling COVID, especially in regards to the Saints...others are saying he's just not optimistic on the roster.
If he really plans on just taking 2 years off, it's a bitch move to go elsewhere.
Re: NFL Head Coach Hot Seat
Saints are in big trouble. I have no idea what they’re going to do. I guess promoting the OC, whoever that is, is the typical move. But we know Payton is the brains.
Edit: it seems fans want the DC promoted.

Re: NFL Head Coach Hot Seat
Hell yeah it's about time the Saints start sucking.
Re: NFL Head Coach Hot Seat
Saints are -$71m to -$90m above the cap threshold without a QB!!? I knew it was bad but holy shit. Can’t say I blame the guy for cutting bait. He put in his time.
Looking through the roster payroll matrix. I don’t see where they get this money. Top 11 paid players all have a massive dead cap hit if they’re released.
Roby is the only one that’s obvious. $11m none guaranteed.

Re: NFL Head Coach Hot Seat
If we try one more time, that will be us in 2 years. That's what kicking the can down the road leads to.
I'd be fine with it if we can get another SB.
Re: NFL Head Coach Hot Seat
If Brady retires, then the NFC South might be the worst division in history next year.
Re: NFL Head Coach Hot Seat
If Urban could've held out one more year before getting fired it could've set up a very nice Payton to Jags scenario.
Saints a fucked. Which is good.
I could see Winston in Pittsburgh. Honestly thought that's where he should've gone last year anyway.

Re: NFL Head Coach Hot Seat
He's got sources in the Jags org and is one of their most accurate leakers. I'd say it's close to a done deal at this point.
Good luck Leftwich. Kind of a fun story in all honesty(HC to the team that drafted him)
Bucs will get auto 3rd round comp pick(this year and next)
Re: NFL Head Coach Hot Seat
Genuinely hoping we will take steps to be a more balanced offense with him leaving. (Assuming Brady is back anyway).
Let’s see what he can do with TL.

Re: NFL Head Coach Hot Seat
Gratz to Byron. Glad we get an extra pick. I think Bowles will be getting hired soon as well. It was pretty obvious by our gameplans on offense and defense vs the Rams that these two had one foot out the door. I can't blame them really
Re: NFL Head Coach Hot Seat
Good luck to Byron. I hope he kicks some serious ass. Nothing but love and respect. I hope when we build the statue, he's right next to BA.
Not gonna complain about the picks, either. Especially when we only had 6 this year. Should be in the late 90s. Not bad.

Breaking: The Chicago Bears are hiring former Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus as their head coach, sources tell Adam Schefter.
