Re: Name That Buccaneer
Here's one. The Bucs actually managed to screw up not drafting this guy when they called someone else's name. But that player wasn't too bad. Then the Bucs swiftly traded a 1st round pick from the next season so they COULD take this player I'm talking about.
Who is it? Bonus if you know the other guy

From Illinois, and built like a rook
In the late rounds he later got took
He'd make big ol' holes

I once tracked down a twink pop star speeding through my neighborhood in a Prius only to get the Heisman'ed from his security.

I'll give it the day and if no one answers, we can gather round the fire and listen to absolute peak Yucks. The only harder Yuck was drafting Bo Jackson anyway after saying he wouldn't play for usPetePierson wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 2:03 pmYou're going way back now.... You're a long-time Bucs fan and had to look up Bo? For fuck's sake, man!

I rushed the passer at TAMU
Then became a Hawk
Then rushed the passer in Tampa
Before getting my ring as a Hawk

I thought he was talking about the Sean Farrell/Booker Reece draft snafu. Of course I know about Bo Jackson.

Six-foot five, former fifth round draft pick
But on the Bucs I couldn't stick.
Yet in Arena League,
I never showed fatigue.
Tons of tuddies I caught, what a trick!

Re: Name That Buccaneer
Stovall was 6’5 but was a 3rd rounder and never played in Arena. Idk!

It is Galloway. He caught 1 pass from Grossman in 2010 when they both played for Washington.PetePierson wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 6:53 pmHuh? Ohio State guy, no? Don't recall him catching passes from Sexy Rexi.

A Tampa 2 prototype,
is what they would say.
Couldn't reach the hype,
didn't last to his third May.
A car wreck changed his life,
but persevered in spite of it.
If the third draft day is your peak,
then you might be him.

Are you thinking of Stovall? He was ND.PetePierson wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 7:11 pmI could be wrong. I thought there was a PSU WR that was Mr. August / Ernest Graham level hype...
He’s from the Philly area. When he was drafted I met some dude that saw my Bucs hat and told me “Mo is a stud. He used to be my boy until my exgf blew him at a party I took her to.”
