OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
I didn't see this coming at all.
Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
I don't like this.
Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
Let’s hope his personality is the same and it ruins that team
Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
Makes sense. He should do well there.
Sean McVay now has his chosen QB in Matt Stafford throwing to;
Cupp
Woods
Beckham
Van Jefferson
Tyler Higbie
Rams have a really good defense also.
The potential weak spot is the Oline. Other than that, they are pretty fucking stacked.
Nov 28th Rams @ Packers is going to be nice.

Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
Lol. Some teams are actively trying to win a Super Bowl. Some aren't...
Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
So bringing in two vets who are oft-injured
Versus
Bringing back the entire 22 roster that won a Super Bowl.
And we’re 6-2.
Why do you troll so bad bro, what do you do for a living?

Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
We brought back an 11-5 wild card roster and made zero improvements to it. That's what we brought back.
The Rams are better than us at every position save for maybe QB.
They took a page from our book later year which was to never be satisfied and continue making big moves to get better.
We rested on our laurels instead.
Guess we'll see how this plays out

Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
The fact that she refers to this as an 11-5 wildcard team without acknowledging that all they did was win the Super Bowl should indicate to you what her intentions are. But I have to give her credit. She can command an audience, no matter how bad the trolling is.
Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
An 11-5 football team that happened to win a Super Bowl. A team that had to fight tooth and nail to the wire in every game save for the super bowl.
An old 11-5 team that desperately needs the bye and home field advantage if they want any chance at repeating.
The NFC elite got better. We didn't. And it shows.

Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
Good news, imo. He could’ve been a transformative player for the Packers. The Rams already had weapons, so his impact won’t be as big as it could’ve been for other teams.
Fun-fact about Stafford: In 12 years as a starter, he has one more win against teams that finished the season with a winning record (8) than Brady has won Super Bowl rings.

Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
On the surface this looks like the Bucs signing of AB, except OBJ isn't AB on the field. I think all this does is water down the chemistry with the other quality offensive players they have. Sometimes you can have too much of a good thing. Lets hope this is like over salting your food and there's no way to fix it.

Isn't that the same thing many people said about the Bucs signing AB? That it would mess up the chemistry?Buccabeer wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 6:04 pm On the surface this looks like the Bucs signing of AB, except OBJ isn't AB on the field. Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
A lot of us said it could and while I don't know if I said it, I did think it could also.... Difference seemed to be that we have a Brady and when you have a Brady, everyone knows that crazy don't get to hang around longKing Bootz wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 6:32 pmIsn't that the same thing many people said about the Bucs signing AB? Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
Part of me wanted to find a room for him here (Brady’s house?) just to keep him off a team like the Rams. Crap.

Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
His me me me mentality doesn’t seem like the perfect fit for the rams. What is he going to do when he only gets thrown to twice a game?
Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
Come too think about it, I didnt give a rats a about him clear back when he made the catch.

Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
Oh ya, definitely. And to some degree I thought that myself. What I did not realize at the time was how AB's game is different than Evans and Godwin and there are games where his skills are very much needed. With OBJ, I'm not sure what he brings to the Rams that they don't already have in the guys on the field. So, really you're just feeding another mouth that does the same thing. Putting him on the field takes away a guy like Jefferson who is a deep ball threat.King Bootz wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 6:32 pmIsn't that the same thing many people said about the Bucs signing AB? Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
Rams add Von Miller and OBJ despite being much healthier and probably a better roster.
We add Breshad Perriman and Richard Sherman while half the team is injured.
Good job Licht.

Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
I have a hard time comparing this signing to the Bucs signing AB. Yes, both came with baggage, and yes, both use groupings of letters to identify themselves.
But come on now. One of them will be in the Hall of Fame. The other one won't. This is not the same thing.
Does he make the Rams better? Yes. Does he create a "too much of a good thing" or a "bad fit?" No, for the same reason we can put Evans, Godwin, AB, and Gronk on the field all at once. You are forcing one-on-one's with guys who will win one-on-one's. Am I afraid of the Rams now? No more than I was before. They were a good team before, and they will be a tough out no matter what. But top to bottom, they're not better than the Bucs. They're just not. And to top that off, for the next 9 weeks or so, it doesn't much matter what they do. We have our own opponents to worry about.

Washed up
People online saying “Kupp, Woods, and OBJ omg!!”
But Godwin, Evans, Brown is vastly superior to that threesome
OBJ is easily the worst of the 6 I just mentioned

Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
This, basically.
I'm sure McVay has some cool ways to incorporate OBJ.
But OBJ hasn't been a true difference maker since 2018. Maybe that's injuries, in which case, is he ever going to be what he was before? If it's attitude, why assume he'll start caring again now?
If the Rams win the NFC, it will not be because they just upgraded from some very good young 5th options in the offense (Van Jefferson, Tutu Atwell) for the best wideout of 2015. Frankly, the Von Miller trade bothered me much, much more.

Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
Also, I'll be happy to match up Carlton Davis, Jamel Dean, Sean Murphy-Bunting, Ross Cockrell, and Richard Sherman against Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, Odell Beckham, Van Jefferson, and Tutu Atwell.
We'll give as good as we get.
Can't say the same thing when the Rams corners match up with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, Scotty Miller, and Tyler Johnson. We'll win more of those than we lose.

Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
OBJ is essentially replacing DJax, who at this point in their respective careers is a better WR. They both have the same attitude unfortunately.
Rams are damn thin at WR due to injuries, not sure adding an oft-injured player who is not the player he used to be is as big a coup as some make it out to be. After Woods, Cupp and Jefferson, they had practically nothing in the WR room. Two rookies, one just signed to take the place of Atwell who is on IR for the year and Skowrenak, who made his first three catches last week against the Titans.
Considering how good the Denver defense looked against Dallas compared to their other games this season, Miller’s acquisition may not be the great move for their defense some are touting. But I have more faith in Miller making an impact than I do OBJ.

Huge loss for the Rams. Their front office looks like geniuses for signing OBJ now. Herein lies proof you can never have too much talentKing Bootz wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 1:15 pm Robert Woods tore his ACL in practice today.

Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
Oh no, our biggest roadblock to the Super Bowl lost their 2nd best WR. Just awful news. Truly, you hate to see it.
