It's Patriots week and oh the stories waiting to be told. Every backup coach will be on the news just waiting to say how their experience with Brady was.

The Bucs are coming off a 34-24 loss to the Rams in LA, in a game that got out of hand in the 2nd half. The Patriots are coming off a 28-13 loss against the New Orleans Saints. A game that really was never close as the Saints led 21-3 seconds into the 3rd quarter. Mac Jones had his first true "Welcome to the NFL" moment as he threw 3 picks and the NE offense was largely ineffective.

The line is currently sitting at TB -6.5, the O/U is set at 49, and FPI gives the Bucs a 56.6% chance of winning.

The tiebreaker this week is...the passing yardage of rookie QB Mac Jones. He has 737 yards in 3 games so far

Tough call this week. It's not so much about tiebreakers, it's how you look at it, because I thought the tiebreaker was to break a true tie. But the one with the overall fewest point difference, that would be AJPG, 9 points off the Bucs but only 2 points off the Pats. On the other hand, two others were closer on the Bucs score (picking 27 instead of 28) and Nano was closer on that scale.

If I were the judge, and I'm not, that 11 point differential was the closest that was also a Bucs win. But iirc Crocaneers usually comes in when Nano has a conflict of interest being possibly the closest depending on how the contest is usually judged. I gave my opinion, but others have theirs too and in the end the contest must be decided on Nano's usual scheme, conflict of interest or not. I'm just glad we won the game.

Not sure how you guys have been running this contest before, but IMO it should be based on combined difference of the predicted score for each team.

I agree with nybf and King Bootz. Based on what you said, and if Nano - who's in charge of this thread this year -agrees, then the winner would be acmillis.

But I've been gone from the thread series long enough to not know how Nano handles results like these. What he says goes, right?
