Of course if Brad was a two gapper please disregard.

I’m honestly surprised Pinion hasn’t been giving his walking papers yet. I thought for sure it wouldve happened by the end of the day Monday.

You know they have to go through all the motions and such of pretending that the new guy will "earn" the job.Miller4Prez64 wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 9:15 pm I’m honestly surprised Pinion hasn’t been giving his walking papers yet. I thought for sure it wouldve happened by the end of the day Monday.
Truth is he could pooch every punt through TC, Pinion still has no future here.
Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
I think we're too classy for that. I think, after several years of good service to the franchise, we'd show him enough respect to let him go ASAP to find his next job.King Bootz wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 9:25 pmYou know they have to go through all the motions and such of pretending that the new guy will "earn" the job.Miller4Prez64 wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 9:15 pm I’m honestly surprised Pinion hasn’t been giving his walking papers yet. I like Brad Culpepper. He's a survivor.

What Buccaneers organization are you confusing this one with? The Bucs are a lot of things good. Classy isn't 1 of them.MJW wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 9:57 pmI think we're too classy for that. Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
I think of the Licht/BA Bucs that way. They're not trying to get over on their players. There's no real upside to clinging to Pinion's rights. We'll let him go sooner rather than later.King Bootz wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 10:41 pmWhat Buccaneers organization are you confusing this one with? The Bucs are a lot of things good. Good guess. But as Miller stated, it's surprising he wasn't released almost immediately.MJW wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 10:47 pmI think of the Licht/BA Bucs that way. Now that it's a done deal, I hope he becomes the best punter we ever had.

The South runs through New Orleans. Clearly.

Glad to see him working on that "holds the ball too long" issue.
He obviously just needed more time.

Oh, and here is a multimillionaire quarterback doing drills in his backyard with the family while they barbecue. Convince me this isn't putting on a show for friends and family and Instagram.
He's peaked.

That’s a good example to be sure. However, Tomlin had Big Ben in his prime - the latter made the Pro Bowl that year. I’ll go out on a pretty sturdy limb (roughly as sturdy as the Golden Gate Bridge) and venture that Jaboo ain’t sniffing the Pro Bowl next year.Primeminister wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 9:28 pmMike Tomlin replacing The Chin comes to mind.Tnbandwagoner wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 9:18 pm
You're forgetting that one minor detail that they lost one of the three or four best head coaches in the league and replaced him with a coordinator who has never been a HC. The last time that led to immediate success was probably never. I can't recall it happening.

Half the QBs in the league "make" the Pro Bowl. Jameis has previously.Tnbandwagoner wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 2:35 amThat’s a good example to be sure. That could be because they are trying to trade him. Possibly get a late round pick next year or a young backup at a position that needs some depth. Like the entire secondary.King Bootz wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 10:53 pmGood guess. But as Miller stated, it's surprising he wasn't released almost immediately.

I guarantee you no one is trading for a punter with 1 non-guaranteed $2.9mil salary left on their contract.Defense5599 wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 8:05 amThat could be because they are trying to trade him. Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
There WAS a punter traded between the Packers/Rams just last year. Corey Bojorquez.
Prior to that though the last one was 2015, and that was the first time in ten years.
Safe to say they’re not keeping Pinion as trade bait.

I bet Bojorquez didn't have a $2.9mil salary.

They'll cut Pinion when they need the cap space. I don't get what the big deal of keeping is at the moment.

My expectation, my goal is I’m going in there competing. I want to be the starting running back. That’s how it go,” White told The Jim Rome Show yesterday. “I know I got Lenny in front of me. And you know I’m going to soak up a lot of knowledge from Lenny in that running backs room. and Giovani Bernard. That’s just the type of guy I am. You know, I’m always a competitor first.”
https://www.joebucsfan.com/2022/05/rach ... ning-back/“I’m the type of competitor, type of guy, a playmaker, that I don’t want to be taken off the field for a weakness in my game,” White told The Jim Rome Show yesterday. “So I make sure I have no holes in my game. No weakness. And I do everything to the best of my ability, and the receiving part of it is, you know, a great aspect.”

I also read that White played slot and running back in high school. Maybe we can have him play some slot while we wait for Godwin to get healthy.

Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski remains undecided on his NFL future. But if the Bucs want the four-time Super Bowl champion back in the fold, they have one clear route to take: sign Julian Edelman.
“If Julian signs with the Bucs right now, I’m coming back for a whole year,” Gronkowski said on Sunday. “I was just with him last night, and he needs to sign with the Bucs.”
https://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2022/0 ... an-edelmanIn what “Entertainment Tonight” crowed was an exclusive, a breathless Rachel Smith....sat down with Brady.
But Smith...got in a couple of Bucs questions... The first was about unretiring with the Bucs after 40 days of retirement and Brady made a comment how much he enjoys his Bucs teammates and looks forward to joining the gang again at One Buc Palace (it doesn’t appear soon).
Then Smith, with Geraldo Rivera-like acumen, pounced asking if those teammates are “going to include Gronk and Edelman?”
Brady replied, “I’m trying!”

I say no to Edelman. He wasn’t good when he last played so I doubt sitting out a year made him better.
Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
Winston workout videos are life. I mean hate on the kid all you want, but the dude tries. I'd honestly love to see other QBs work outs. See what the big over laps are and see who else got some silly shit in the bag.

I miss the good old days, when if you'd told Joe Namath to do whatever the hell it is Jaboo was doing, he'd have taken the cigar out of his mouth and put it out on your arm.

Oh I don't think anyone is making him do these.
Honestly, I wouldn't put it past him that many of these are of his own creation.
