They didn't update after Evans's restructure. As I recall, it's about $6 mil now.

Probably not enough to figure out a primo contract, but enough to add somebody on his rookie deal, or maybe a guy on a mid-tier contract playing well.

Spotrac did update. It's around $577k now. His restructuring helped account for dead money, bonuses, etc. It also increased his cap numbers for the last 2 years of his deal and added an additional 2 voidable years.

We aren't adding anyone significant no matter the circumstances.
I'll take your word for it.

In which case, yeah. We could add a street free agent, but that'd be that. We're dancing with the one that brung us.

Heinike was impressive until that God awful INT.

And how in the hell was Daniel Jones ever a top 10 pick?? He’s still terrible.

Washington's rookie kickoff returner literally walks of the field like a sad Carlie Brown with every touchback.

No fooling, they win the game without that penalty. Heartbreaker.

Daniel Jones was a bizarre pick at the time and it's grown no less bizarre since.

If someone had taken, say, Davis Mills in the top ten last year, it would have been no more defensible.

Yep. But with 2 bad football teams, that’s the ending you expect. Giants drop a wide open TD in the end zone, settle for a FG. Next drive give up a TD in 2 plays. WFT gets the ball back with a lead & 3 minutes to go, QB throws a pick inside his own 20. Giants go 3 & out, settle for a FG. WFT has a T.O but chews up a lot of clock going down field, settle for a 49 yard FG. FG missed but Giants lined up offsides. 5 yard closer, FG is good. WFT wins.

It was a battle for who wanted it the least and that tonight is NY.

only $36k? ok, so we’re re-signing vernon hargreaves? what do we do with the leftover cash?

How bad was NYG o-line? I’ll never forget Barkley getting repeatedly hit 3 yards behind the LOS in 2019.

It's terrible. Same thing happened tonight. On the rare occasion they opened up a hole, he got 40 yards in a hurry.

*KNEE JERK* think we could trade Rojo & LF for Saquon? @LUGZ would that work?

That game was surprisingly awesome. Chase Young is a monster on the edge and Taylor Heinicke isn’t bad.

Apt summation. That dropped TD was worth a loss all on it’s own. The offsides penalty is simply one you CAN NOT have. I remember a those bad Bucs teams that played undisciplined sloppy football in pursuit of finding new ways to lose.

We probably fall to like 4th or 5th without Brady, lol.

This doesn't bother me. And FWIW, Jensen, Suh, and Gholston are all possibly/probably gone next season. That should move us back a tiche regardless.

Who knows, they may hear the free agent contract amounts and just decide to stay here for less.

Gholston I could see. Suh is clearly near the end and he likely won't be worth the contract he'll want. The only way Jensen is back is if the team doesn't feel good about Hainsey.

I'd be concerned about that except two things;

1) We are the defending SB champs

2) While we do have some older players (a 44yr QB skews the numbers a bit) like Brady, Suh, JPP, AB, and LVD, we also have great young core of players also.

This isn't like that 03-04 Bucs team where once that team got old it got terrible due to no young talent on the roster.

Mike Evans along with the left side of the Oline (Smith and Marpet) are in their prime and here for atleast 3 more years.

Hainsey, Cappa, and Wirfs should all be here for the next few years also.

On defense we need to fills some gaps in the front 7 who will be retiring like Suh and JPP. But we're going to build around Vea, Devin White, Tryon, and Shaq Barrett.

The secondary is all young bucks. We won't be able to keep them all on 2nd contracts but as long as Bowles is here I ain't too concerned.

We won't be the team we are now once Brady leaves, but we won't be void of talent either.

Seconded.

We have a good deal of young talented on this roster. Not quite enough to replace all the guys who are going to age out soon (especially on the defensive line), but a good deal. This is not 2003, as you say, where we had a great top 30 or so that stayed healthy and a bunch of JAGs behind them.

In what way, Dexter Lawrence was not only lined up in the neutral zone, he also jumped before the snap. That call on Simeon Rice was bullshit you'll never see again.

I don't see any way in HeII Brady allows the franchise to eff up resigning Jensen. That choice will entirely be Jensens

It was not that the call was BS like it was against the Buccaneers. It is not that the Buccaneers defense folded like a wet rag. It was that it was a loss on a FG that was attempted again due to a penalty.

The TNF game was fantastic. Kudos to the NFL, so far the primetime games have been home runs.

I'm a fan on Heinicke. Even picked him up and started him in FF. I'm so glad he won, I hope the kids legend grows thru the season. Gives me Kurt Warner vibes.

Well we didn’t make it to the start of game two and both corners are out. This game initially had me a little worried it be closer than the line and public thought. Now?? No doubt it’s gonna take 35 to probably win this.

Forfeit game?
I heard it was only one player and the rest were coaches and FO types

Yup, 6 coaches + 1 nutritionist were 7 of the 8.

All 7 of them were fully vaccinated since all team personnel are required to be vaccinated in order to interact with the players (do their job).

Now those fully vaxxed coaches need to quarantine so they don't infect other fully vaxxed people.

As for the any remaining unvaccinated players in the NFL or in society, this is all your fault. Now go get vaccinated!!
Hopefully the last sentence above was typed with some small intent of irony?
