Oh no we suck again! Slow start. Opponent’s receivers are wide open. Flags on every other play. This game was a staunch reminder that we were World Champions last year and if we want that title again it isn’t going to be gift wrapped to us like in Karate Kid III where the All Valley Karate Tournament only requires last year’s champion to compete in the final round.
Likes:
1.) Hard fought game by the offense. The Rams’ D wasn’t giving anything up and we were scrapping for every yard like Daredevil kicking the shit out of people and they’d get back up two or three times. RIP Netflix Marvel shows.
2.) Tom Brady… just because no one ever talks about him and gives him the credit he deserves.
3.) We witnessed Gio Bernard take Ronald Jones’s spot in this game. If this were Remember the Titans we’d have Ryan Gosling’s dad yelling at Yoast benching him for Petey.
Dislikes:
1.) The Bucs would have the #1 rushing defense in the league if it wasn’t for our running offense.
2.) Jayden Darden is Dexter Jackson 2.0 2.0.
3.) 3rd and fucked or 3rd and Kupped?
4.) If you missed Devin White’s new show Horsing Around they’ll be re-airing it Sunday at 8:20 EST.
5.) Jamel Dean, while it feels unfair to pick on just one defensive back, especially one that got hurt, his dropped interception could’ve changed the trajectory of how this game went.
6.) We’re just going to call Dee Delaney double dee because opponents love watching DD jog onto the field.
Random:
1.) Little guys love little guys. Listening to Joe Buck’s detailed knowledge of how Scotty Miller’s season is going is highly entertaining. If Scotty gives him an autograph I guarantee you he’d change his name to Joe Buc.
2.) Surprisingly, after calling a game on Thursday night, it appears Troy Aikman did not catch a Red Eye to make it to this game.
3.) Brady and Bernand didn’t quite nail the Dunn and King re-enactment play against the Rams I was hoping for.
This team was warned, it’s not like they didn’t see this coming. We know every team that plays us is going to play like it’s the Super Bowl. We know we were escaping games with sloppy play and it wasn’t going to fly against better teams. I know the defensive backfield is banged up, but that’s no excuse for our lack of a pass rush and sloppy linebacker play. It was nice to see Brate, Bernard, and Tyler Johnson make some plays, even though it might’ve cost Bernard, but we know what we have to do to get back on track. I guess that’s the silver lining. This game happened early and our mistakes are fixable.

Have you been drinking again?
Thanks Ichy, but it didn't help this time. I still hate when we don't bother to show up for the game. Hell, losses happen, deal with it and move on, but yesterday's "performance" reminds me of he stupid v ignorant discussion. I think my high school varsity team could have beaten the group of "players" that wore pewter yesterday. I can't believe you actually found anything to put under the Likes category.

Push the damned button already!

Thanks Ich. Poor Tom Brady. It's nice he made the game somewhat respectable on the scoreboard. That's a game we would normally lose 34-7.
That said he's also the reason that Rams team (and every other team) will be so fired up to play us every week.
Rams played a very smart and clean game. They got the big chunk plays they needed to in the pass game and little to nothing went wrong for them. No penalties, No turnovers, almost no TFLs or Sacks even.
The Bucs were able to match the production for the most part, just not the efficiency nor the energy they played with.
When you play a talented team who is playing well like the Rams did yesterday you have to find more ways to create breaks for yourselves and then seize those opportunities. The Bucs did neither.
Oh well. Still alot of positives about this team and that was one game. Sometimes it's just not your day and yesterday seemed like that for the Bucs.
As bad as we played that performance was, it was still probably good enough to beat most every team left on our schedule simply b/c we can outscore them.

#4 dislike took me out.
I don't think this season goes the same way as last season if we don't get a run game going. We at least had the threat of a run game last year. Now there's no reason to respect it. Yesterday, Brady had 55 attempts. If you factor in his 3 sacks and 3 rushes, that's 61 called pass plays to 10 called runs. You can't win that way.

Agreed but it was the only way we were going to win, so we weren't winning that game. They were scoring 7 nearly every time they got the ball.
The defense is simply forcing us into SHOTGUN FURY every game in order to survive. When we start getting stops, the run attempts will come.
