Aidan Hutchinson: Paid!
Came back from that devastating injury and looks better than ever. Well deserved.

Good for him.
There were some clips of him moving very poorly in the midst of his rehab. I was not optimistic.
Happy to be wrong. A true testament to his work ethic and great PEDs.

Yea he looked bad in those videos.
But he's 25 and healed up nicely and is wrecking games for the Lions. Excited to see him be a force in the league for the decade or so.

Wonder what this means for Hasaan Reddick and Yaya Diaby.

Not that they are in his wheel house. But this has to increase their value some, right?

Re: Aidan Hutchinson: Paid!
Reddick shouldn't even be in the discussion for extending(at least by us).
As for Diaby, I don't think he's the caliber of pass rusher that's worth investing any real money in. He's solid given the low investment we have in him, but that relative value tanks once nine figure salary guarantees kick in.
I'd let him walk in 2027 and let someone else pay that big contract while we get a comp pick.

We're paying the price for a half-measure taken by The Union 160 years ago.
The New Union will correct that mistake.

Good take, honestly. His value is directly tied to him being cost controlled.BucsNBills wrote: ↑Wed Oct 29, 2025 4:00 pm As for Diaby, I don't think he's the caliber of pass rusher that's worth investing any real money in. Re: Aidan Hutchinson: Paid!
The contrast in recovery between Godwin and Hutchinson should be a very clear reminder that (a) not all tib/fib compound fractures / ankle dislocations and (b) not all orthopedic surgeons/hospital staffs are the same.

Re: Aidan Hutchinson: Paid!
Hutch's injury wasn't as bad because he just had the compound fracture in his tibia & fibula. He avoided and ligament/tendon damage. Godwin did not and judging by the way he walks runs now he likely suffered some nerve damage too.

Re: Aidan Hutchinson: Paid!
Yup. That is the crux of my point. From Theisman to Ventura to the spate of these injuries we’re seeing now, they’re all different in subtle or more substantive ways. Different enough, compounded by the attendant differences in the capability of the attached surgeons and care regimes, that we (and in some cases, the athletes themselves) can’t reliably infer the longterm prognosis from the injury designation.
