We won. Defense showed up, the Refs did not.

Good defense but incredibly ugly game.

The bye week will be nice, it’s a very tough game coming on the other side.

I am making a bold prediction and promise. We come out of the bye with lots of our starters healed (or healed well enough) we kick ass and never look back.

The 49ers win was pretty good. We played well overall in all phases.

We got the W, which is all that really matters.

Hopefully neither Parrish or any other injuries show up over the next few days.

I'd say being 6-2 going into the bye is about as good an outcome any of us could've asked for before the start or he season. Doubly so considering our injuries.

Having said all that, I can't help but feel concerned about the offense going forward. The level of play over the past two weeks simply won't get it done over the next three games after the bye.

Oh and the real score is 30-0, at minimum. Not going to forget about the corruption that took place today by the refs.
We're paying the price for a half-measure taken by The Union 160 years ago.

The New Union will correct that mistake.

This pleases me. I'll take 6-2 any way I can get it. We had an ugly win beating the shit out of a bad team while having all the injuries you can imagine.

The Saints are a long way away from doing anything. Thankfully. That, and McLaughlin were MVPs.

Wirfs had a bad day. Against multiple rushers. Weird.

Same problems on offense remain. Injuries apparent. Play sequencing bad. The “we’re gonna show them how tough we are” goal line sequence where they ran it 73 times in a row. Weird “statement” attempt considering the Saints were manhandling the LOS.

The gulf between great, good, and bad NFL tranches is really apparent atm.

With seven minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Buccaneers had 19 offensive players in enemy territory. The Saints had one. 4 turnovers will do that.

Defense showed up, but this is two weeks in a row the offense hasn’t done much of anything. Bye week could not have come at a better time. Get healthy, we have a tough 3 games coming up (Pats, Bills, Rams).

Hopefully Goedeke comes back after the bye. O-line playing better would help a ton.

Saints knew we were going to the left practically every run - especially on the goal line.

So hard to take anything from this game. The Saints are so ridiculously bad. A little concerning that the offense can't take advantage of bad teams. If anyone can explain what Grizz is doing on offense I'm all ears. Because the synergy which was great enough to keep everyone out of PS just ain't there.

Once Baker’s knee heals up we are gonna be back to our old kick ass offense.

Worst case is is 0-3 but if we can take one out of the 3, 7-4 isnt too bad going into the easier part of the scedule.

6-2. This team has been really good coming out of the bye the last couple years. That one was sleepy though.

Baker is hurt. Glad he gets a week off.

Is Godwin back back after the bye? If not we have real problems at receiver.

Right now we look like one and done in the playoffs again. I hope Licht makes a move to ignite the franchise.

Takeaway from the last couple of games is not having enough bodies to practice properly is affecting the timing and communication on offense. 5th RG in 8 games today, even if we had no other injuries/games missed that’s not great for cohesion on the line.

We really need Bucky back badly. I know he hasn't been that great this year but his impact is always obvious and productive when he's on the field. I think he adds a missing element to this offense. Hopefully Grizz can utilize him accordingly.

Getting Goedeke back would be enormous. Haven’t heard much about him.

First of all, fuck the Saints.

Second of all, my head still hurts from the fact we actually tried throwing a fade to Sterling Shepard like he’s Mike Evans.

Jalen McMillian is expected to back after bye week, but he is still wearing a neck brace, so we will see what happens

as far back as I can remember, you’ve always been very pro-RB talent. As in, you’ve always been adamant about adding top RB talent, and emphasizing the impact of good RBs.

I leaned skeptical on that for years and years. In large part, I think, because I’m bad at evaluating RBs. Particularly with the ball in their hands. I struggle to differentiate the moving parts. Between the line play and their decisions, etc.

All that to say, the difference between Bucky and White is night and day. The decisiveness, the quickness. You were right that White isn’t good enough to get a bunch of carries and he continues to show why.

The Bucs win doesn’t impress me. We played against the Saints, who are a bad team, and a bad qb.

Edit: @Snake yes, Spencer Rattler is bad QB,

They did what they had to do period. A win in the NFL never comes easy, especially against a divisional opponent. Look at the Falcons and an EASY win for them was a blow out. 6-2 with a bye. Godwin, Bucky, and Goedeke all possibly back.

Always. RBs success started unfairly being attributed how good the OLs were. But what about past the LOS? Some things you can't teach. Vision, anticipation, agility, balance.

Great RBs dont grow on trees despite what the league tried telling us years ago. You look at what Jahmry Gibbs did to us Monday. Look at what Johnathan Taylor is doing right now. Guys like Saquan, Bijan, Achane, Jacobs, CMC, King Henry. It's the 3-4 plays a game they make that make you say WOW that separates them from the Rachaad White's who's gonna make you say "ugh" more often than not.
