Rare (or even never seen before) to see Wirfs play that badly. And that’s two straight really bad offensive line games for a unit that seems to be getting worse over time. Baker was already skittish and not moving well. So seeing his stud left tackle being consistently beaten probably didn’t help matters and contributed heavily to the awful day offensively.
Wirfs himself will be fine, flush that one.

Lot of Wirfs’ ‘losses’ yesterday are on Mayfield. Really only got beat two, maybe three times. Mayfield dropped back too far quite a bit. Bredeson lost contain a few times as well.
And Wirfs had a bit of trouble with Young last season too.

Styles make fights. For some reason, Young’s style of play gives Wirfs fits. Meanwhile, many inferior OTs have handled Young fine during his nfl career.
Even the greats have one. This is his one.
