Awful news. He and VJax were bright spots during the dark days of the 2010’s Bucs. Both gone way too young.

He was young enough that he could have still been playing at 36 years old 💔

In my old age I am starting to feel guilty about watching football and mma. The life afterwards doesn't seem so great for alot of them.

He was one of the lone bright spots on some otherwise meh teams (and those alarm clock uniforms). 36 is way too young.

RIP

WHAAA!! My God, I had no idea he passed away. All of these guys were far too young.

Interesting story about Hayes, I was at this lounge in Tampa called the Blue Martini and Hayes was as well. He got arrested that night because they wouldn't let one of his friends inside.

I feel for Gerald. That's a lot of loss.

No, they closed a long time ago. I think maybe 2017 or 2018. It's Bar Louie now, which is just a restaurant and bar.

Edit- My bad, I forget the Bar Louie was always there. It's not this place called Rocco's Tacos. Their food is terrible.

We're paying the price for a half-measure taken by The Union 160 years ago.

The New Union will correct that mistake.

Very sad to read this. He was one of the only bright spots besides LVD during the Schiano and Lovie years.

Thank you Doug for a great couple of years as a Bucs. RIP.

Martin may have died in police custody according to this tweet linked by Auman (I suggest not clicking to read the article, paywalled and pop up ads everywhere):

As i said on PR, he was one of my fav players while he was here, and the night we drafted him was so special for me. I still remember the Raiders game. He was gonna be the future.

RIP Doug. You deserved a ring...

I have been having some of these feelings myself with all the injuries we have had. I don’t begrudge any of these guys one dime of the money they make. I bet most of them spend the rest of their life in some kind of physical pain. And some of course have CTE etc.

There's still one in Brickle (Miami).
