I don’t have to know ball to know that Tyreek Hill is an asshole.
[b[I don’t have to know ball to know that you’re an asshole.[/b]
You both let everyone know with your actions.
I think it’s stupid to drop Vita Vea into coverage 10 yards downfield on 3rd and 14. Sorry.. not sorry? It’s fucking stupid.
Having Anthony Nelson cover Christian McCaffrey ever is fucking stupid.
Nelson and Diaby jerking eachother off in coverage while the ball goes between them on 3rd and 9 is stupid. Sorry? Not sorry.![]()

Unlike you that doesnt phase me. Just says more about you.
And by all means, continue to prove me right. You don't know ball. Linemen drop into coverage for all 32 teams. It happens. You won't find a defense that does not drop their linemen into coverage but you don't understand that because you don't know ball.
And there's nothing wrong with not knowing ball. You're just a casual fan. Stay in your place though as a casual fan and leave the ball talk to those who are qualified to talk ball.
For someone who knows so much ball you have been wrong on here more often than not and you post nothing of productive value in terms of tape study or analysis. And, that's fine. Not everyone is capable of doing that, but just own it that you're just as much of a "casual" as the majority of the other posters here so maybe try to stop attacking others for a difference of opinion.
I never said we shouldn't drop linemen into coverage ever in perpetuity. But, it stands to reason that we'd drop linemen that were actually somewhat good at it like JTS. We're dropping linemen that are very much not good at it and they're being exploited. That's frustrating.
It's an issue I have with Bowles that he seemingly ignores the strengths of his defensive players and runs his system and calls his plays regardless of the opponent or what the offense does well.
The defense has certainly turned it around in the second half of the season (and in the second half of games) though and I hope they can keep it up.

I dont know why you get bent out of shape when I say you don't know ball. You don't. It's evident. You talk about "Bowles doesn't play to the strength of his players". You don't even know what the strengths are or what we're doing on defense. I've had this discussion with you time and time again. Given you chance after chance to breakdown and analyze our defense and you never do it because you can't.
You gripe about DL dropped into coverage like it's exclusively a Todd Bowles thing. Its not. It's a concept all DCs utilize. It helps create simulated pressures and confuses offenses.
Here's what you do: Go look back at some of our Superbowl year footage. You think Bowles drops DL into coverage now? Look back when he had a healthy Shaq Barrett, JPP, Suh( Suh loved dropping into coverage). You must've hated those teams, I bet.

Do you think it's smart to drop Vita Vea into coverage or to have Anthony Nelson covering Christian McCaffrey on multiple snaps in our game against SF? Simple yes or no will suffice.

Vs the 49ers, Nelson was targeted twice when he was in coverage. 1 catch for 7 yards on those 2 targets. So that's not terrible.
Vea allowed the 1st pass against him in 7 years as a Buc yesterday. 6 yard completion.
It seems your gripe is based solely on what you would or wouldn't do if you were DC. It has nothing to do with it being ineffective or a liability. You just want to gripe.

To be honest, I did enjoy seeing Vita blow up the Dallas TE short of the first down and once earlier in the season when he dropped into coverage and blew up either a RB or WR heading for the end zone.Grahamburn wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 8:35 am Do you think it's smart to drop Vita Vea into coverage or to have Anthony Nelson covering Christian McCaffrey on multiple snaps in our game against SF? Is he better rushing the passer, eating up two linemen most of the time? Yes, but those two plays were fun to watch, lol

Get rid of all divisions. Top 4 from each conference get to host playoff games
The NFL reportedly plans on considering changes to its playoff format during the upcoming offseason, particularly about seeding.
One possible change could see the Wild Card Round home games go to the teams with the highest winning percentage rather than the division winners.
Via NFL insider Jonathan Jones.

I like this concept.
Imagine starting off the NFL Playoffs with the two teams with the worst records playing for the No. 1 seed...

He’s a great receiver. A great person. A great teammate. He doesn’t pout on instagram after a shit season. He goes back to work.
Oh. My QB is hurt and I can’t get my numbers? Boo fucking hoo.
Fuck Tyreek Hill. Go continue to lose. He’s a loser person. He’s a loser player. Any team that acquires him is a loser. The best organization in football got rid of his ass. No thanks.
Sorry, but that's not what happened. Veach (KC-GM) actually offered $26M/yr to Hill's agent to keep Tyreek in KC, but MIA offered $30M/yr. Veach couldn't match that. It's why Veach had to scramble to replace Hill with the likes of JJSS/MVS and drafting SKyy Moore as well as trading for Kadarius Toney.
Re: The Official 2025 Off-Season Thread
Getting player buy-in would be difficult, I think.
"Okay, we suck. But guess what guys, the other team ALSO sucks. We know that you guys are going to be playing a game which to you is meaningless, and there's very little incentive for you to risk injury and delay your family vacations. But just think: we could get a slightly better draft pick.
"Just think of our poor owner. He/she would be a VERY sad billionaire if they only got the number 2 overall pick instead of the 1.
"Also here's another game check I guess."

I think you make the two owners do a five round celebrity boxing match to see who get the pick... that is just as likely to happen, but if it did it would be entertaining as hell.

Tyreek is a POS but sure would be an insane addition to our offense.
We basically become a better version of the 2023 Dolphins, which were the #2 scoring offense
Bucky/White/Tucker > Achane/Mostert
Evans/Tyreek > Tyreek/Waddle
Baker > Tua
