Not any good was seen on either side of the ball.... Neither side of the ball was able to bail out the other side of the ball

They both sucked and Special Teams threw in a missed PAT for the trifecta....

Back to back losses suck. Losing Vea on the last play sucks. Todd Bowles can't coach his way out of a wet paper bag with a bulldozer.

Sometimes a team is motivated to beat ya and has some breaks. Plus they dominated on that last drive.

They won, just as much as we lost. Give credit to the opposing team’s gameplan.

We're the embarrassment and laughing stock of the NFL on all social media and Reddit right now. Well deserved.

I thought these kinds of games were behind us with Brady. Maybe he needs to up his PED treatment to what he was taking last year because he's become abysmal.

These last two weeks have looked no better than how we played with Winston on the team.

This is this teams version of the MNF Indy game. That killed the spirit of the team and they were never the same. This loss is no different.

Nothing about our team deserves respect from the opponent and they have nothing to be fearful of.

10 wins is our ceiling. You heard it here first.

Team aside, this loss should wake fans up who thought there was a such thing as an "easy win". There isn't. We didn't even play terribly. WFT was simply better. Executed plays when they needed to. Won the turnover battle. Hats off to them.

5 sacks in a game don't matter if you can't get off the damn field on defense.

We lost the turnover battle, we lost time of possession, we lost on third down. It's hard to win when that's the case.

Two straight losses, by nine to the Saints and by ten to the WFT. Hopefully not the start of a trend, but a loss to the Giants next week would no longer surprise me.

On defense, we need to play big-on-big and speed-on-speed. Line up and beat the man across from you, contest fucking routes, don't waste your time guarding grass. Stop dropping defensive linemen into short zones who get abused in pass coverage by in-breaking routes five to ten yards behind them.

On offense, throw the ball to Mike Evans, for fuck's sake. He has had 41 touches on the year. Nine of those were touchdowns, 30 for first downs. That's right; Mike Evans gets a touchdown or first down on 95% of his touches. Today we threw the ball to Leonard Fourette nine times, Chris Godwin eight, Tyler Johnson five, Cam Brate and Giovanni Bernard had three targets apiece. Mike Evans had three targets, one of which was a throw into the dirt at his feet, and his two receptions and touchdown directly led to over half of our total points. Other teams can find ways to feed their top targets, but we let Mike rot on the vine.

Good coaches put their players in positions to succeed. Look at our roster and ask yourselves who is being put into those positions.

I'm not salty. You're salty.

As good as the "Stat" show the D should be in certain areas. When teams really need to convert a 3 down. They DO convert.

There probably isn't a more important player on that roster after Brady. If Vea's out for a long period of time...Oh man. That hurts worse than the loss.

@ATrain we've talked about this. With that said you know why I'm doing this. You're getting a sammich bud. I'm going to take a few minutes to think about how long and give you a chance to see it.

Edit: See you in a week. Sammich gets served hot and fresh at 4:30

Edit: I lied... I did it at 4:28

Yes. Click on the user's name and then on his profile page, click 'Foe'.

I did that earlier for ATrain, and also Defense5599. Both are over the top with their negativity, but there's also a toxic vibe to them as well.

I'm not going to open the can of worms on whether or not he meant that maliciously. But this is the same as a bartender cutting off the guy who has clearly had too much to drink. And it's not like much of the board hasn't noticed. I won't punish a guy for loving his team but he said he'd be gone and I'm simply going to give it to him for a while.

Bucs have a history of coming out of the bye flat

Washington had always played us tough

Washington's new kicker didn't Blewiit

*** personal note : my father and I always had the NFL. First it was Washington as a child and then Tampa. We saw many games together over the years while in Florida.

This was a harder day without him

Getting tired of this defense allowing 2nd tier QBs to look like world-beaters:

Standing pat with the secondary (and every other unit) was a mistake. Gotta optimize where you can.

Bowles is also…you already know.

this is a portion of what i posted in the saints rapid reactions thread two weeks ago. it’s still appropriate, even after a bye week with extra time to prepare. not hitting the panic button but this team is in trouble.
vivalaReagan wrote: Sun Oct 31, 2021 9:25 pm…this team has played very up and down football all season…they were fired up and we were on autopilot.

the defense, with one or two exceptions, has been suspect all season and has relied on brady magic to bail it out too often. they were exposed tonight by a relatively talentless offense with a third-string qb, and no brady magic to save them.

tonight we definitely looked like a team that is completely convinced its win/loss record is an accurate reflection of how it has played so far this season (spoiler: it’s not). they also looked like a team coasting into their bye.

bottom line: they’ve been playing sloppy, uninspired ball most of the season and hopefully tonight is the wake-up call they need with two weeks to address it. unfortunately, i don’t think BA has the focus to take the full two weeks to wake this team from its slumber. he’ll probably slap them on the backside and congratulate them on 6-2. see ya next week!

I didn't see Vea go down. BA said Vea "felt something in his knee".

Probably a ligament tearing.

Washington have stunned Tampa Bay in one of the biggest upsets of the NFL season. And they pulled it off even after star pass rusher Chase Young suffered a game-ending injury.
Yep.
But more people are talking about how awful the Buccaneers were than how good the Washington Football Team was:

nick wright
@getnickwright
The Bucs had the clearest path imaginable to the 1 seed as long as they didn’t lose to any terrible teams… and they just got soundly beat by WFT.

Just an awful loss for the defending champs.

Fixes need to start with coaching. We're getting outcoached in every loss. The players did a fine job of F-in this one up, but better coaching would have put us in a position to win. Ronald Jones played one snap I think. Our offensive game plan was pathetic after a bye week. Nothing of originality. I'm a huge Brady fan, but you can see that when a team plays tight man coverage we struggle. He feels the pressure much sooner than most QB's and it's stating to become a pattern that teams are focusing on. Play tight on WRS, bring the rush, and he'll check down until the sun goes down. I'll give credit to WFT for making catches and the throws when they needed it. We dropped too much and played sloppy. If we've lost Vea for the season our DEF needs to get real creative because Ain't nobody else on that line doing a damn thing.
