I do think he’ll be on par with anything Josh Reynolds will/would produce, which was the entire point of the conversation.
So, if the Bucs move forward with Palmer as their WR3 I’ll guarantee he has about 600 yards. Give or take.

Trey Palmer reminds me of a Sammie Stroughter type, not in the way they play or their skillset but overhyped late round pick WRs that probably won’t stick in the league for but a few years but our fans will gas up because of all the kool aid we drink after drafting him.
If Evans misses any time this year our WR group will be as bad as almost anyone in the league.

Stoughton. Robert Herron. Kenny Bell. Justin Watson. Scotty Miller. It happens nearly every single time we draft a WR. Fans believe we hit the "big one" with just about every day 3 WR we draft. Reynolds’ career best is 618 yards across eight seasons with 4 different teams. With that much data I’m comfortable saying that’s his ceiling.Bootz wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 11:27 amYou tell me...Seems you are that dense....Grahamburn wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 10:47 am

Palmer was a rookie. I’m not going to say 385 yards is his ceiling. Reynolds had 104 yards his rookie year…

WRs make the flashiest plays and there's always a 6th spot for them on the roster. It's a trap. They can make a great play, but they will never be great... Except for Horace Copeland. That dude's backflips were legendary.

Your thoughts?
Connor Williams is a FA, tore his ACL in December. He's going to miss the season. Do you go out and offer him a 5 year deal (that's really only 4), where he makes league minimum in 2024, but gets paid $13.5M AAV the other 4 (like Spotrac.com believes)? Each year can be guaranteed the year before. So, this year, we guarantee 2025's salary. In 2025, we guarantee 2026's salary... and so on. That way, he's guaranteed his money a year in advance, but we have a chance to get out with minimal dead cap.

Why is a player who tore his ACL in December already ruled out for the year? Must've been a lot more than just the ACL.CannonFire wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 12:08 pm Your thoughts?

I'm guessing based on not being able to find anything regarding when he had surgery... so, I don't even know if he had it yet. Add 9 to 12 months to that. Also, considering that the Dolphins already signed a Center to a 3-year deal, I'm guessing they expected him to miss the whole season.Bootz wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 12:37 pmWhy is a player who tore his ACL in December already ruled out for the year? Re: ***Official Free Agency Thread***
Godwin underwent surgery on Jan 3rd and started the season on the active roster. Took him a bit of time to get going, which is typical with ACL injuries, but he was recovered.
He tore his ACL and MCL. Don't know about Meniscus but that is somewhat common with ACL injuries.
Based on what I read re Williams it appears that the injury is beyond the normalities of ACL reconstructive surgery. Maybe there were complications from the surgery or maybe the original injury went beyond ligament destruction.

I'm pretty good with waiting until after the draft to fill out the rest of our needs.
With Conor will go with the most guaranteed. Likely short term.

Re: ***Official Free Agency Thread***
We've seen Josh Allen without Diggs. It ain't pretty. But I'm sure he'd do work with Evans and Godwin.

Dang. Texans building something great and then go and do something dumb like that to absolutely ruin it. Adding a me first diva WR on the downside of his career? Why?

I was thinking he meant the Jaguars' Josh Allen, because it wouldn't have made much sense otherwise.
Re: ***Official Free Agency Thread***
Bills look to be closing shop and cleaning house. If Jallen is on the block he would make our offense borderline elite.
I know that’s a madden pipe dream transaction but damn, they’re getting rid of everyone

I don’t disagree about diggs but the Bills took a lot of hits this offseason. Their offense is devoid of talent outside Kincaid and Jallen nowGrahamburn wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 11:24 amOh. The Bills aren't cleaning house. They're cutting out a cancer.

Right. This is addition by subtraction. He didn't have over 100 yards in their last 8 games and they improved offensively.Grahamburn wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 11:24 amOh. The Bills aren't cleaning house. They're cutting out a cancer.
His cap hit was massive as well.

I guess theyll be going WR in the first anyway
