Jason Licht
Jason Licht
Is Jason Licht the best general manager the Bucs have ever had? I think so. Rich McKay is close

Re: Jason Licht
I lean McKay just because he pulled this franchise out of the literal dumpster. 1997 to us is close to what this year is for Lions fans. Ironically we beat the Lions in those 1997 playoffs.
Both are great though. Licht obviously has more time to change the narrative.

what about DOM. get it done DOM
Re: Jason Licht
Licht is closing in. He landed the greatest FA in Bucs history with Brady. If Kancey and Diaby keep improving, with Vea and AWJ, this defense is starting to look more and more like 2002. Not there yet, but moving in the right direction. And obviously he gets credit for drafting Wirfs, Evans and Godwin on offense. He still takes a hit for that Aguayo draft pick.
McKay gets a ton of credit for Dungy, the best HC this team ever had. McKay/Dungy turned this franchise around.

Re: Jason Licht
If say it cost us a 2nd to keep Chase I'd pay it. Take that for what you will.
Re: Jason Licht
It's Licht. McKay fled cap hell and went to the Falcons. Screw that guy.

Re: Jason Licht
More like Gruden forced him out because he wanted to cut spending on the defense that turned the franchise around and won a Super Bowl to sign his former Raider buddies to “improve” the offense. The going to Atlanta thing sucked, but Gruden deserves a chunk of the blame for that.

Re: Jason Licht
He sure does. And I recall him getting fired in 2008 after a major choke job to end the season. That firing was well deserved.Miller4Prez64 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 2:21 pmMore like Gruden forced him out because he wanted to cut spending on the defense that turned the franchise around and won a Super Bowl to sign his former Raider buddies to “improve” the offense. Yes, I'm aware. It was an if statement to make a point. Chase is very valuable.
