Draft a guy. Give him a starting job at LG. He absolutely bombs at it. Bench him. He plays a couple of snaps well at RT against backups in week 18. Season ends. Hand him a starting job at RT.

If that's not the most Bucs thing to do, I don't know what is.

I don't blame Goedeke for that second rep. Baldinger alluded to it, but that was a very, very difficult assignment. The defender is very wide, and because we pull the tight end into the interior in some ass-backwards protection scheme, Goedeke can't kickslide like his life depends on it to get lateral to match the rusher. That matchup was over before the ball was snapped.

I'll say this though. Goedeke wasn't using his right arm for shit last night, and that's a huge problem for a right tackle. He has to box and at least try to use what length he has. His arms are as short as Peter Skoronski's, and Goedeke doesn't come close to Pete's technical chops.

Color me concerned.

The Bucs Coaching Staff will solve this in the short term, right?
If not, here comes the NFL!

82 basically rubs him out of the play on the second rep. Can't really put that one on him.

Goedeke seems to be over-setting to the outside and Herbig set him up. On the other sack Laird is supposed to get a chip but missed. Goedeke needs to know he has that help though and protect against the inside move. Overall, he didn't have an awful game. He played 47 snaps. He's not going to win every rep. He's not Wirfs. Once we get in real games Canales can scheme help on that side because you know you have Wirfs on the other.

@mdb1958 has by far the most confusing posts in the history of this board. It may be philosophically and logically strange. But his grammar and wording are spotless.

Um... technically, it's "proofread", not "proof read".

Dad was a front page typesetter for many news papers and sadly he is no longer around to tell me how the word was set up in the olden days.

Heh, I think we're both right. Just showing my own age, I guess. But hey or should I say "ey", that's a legitimate word in German scrabble, damme I want it in my scrabble dictionary too!
