Giselle has a net worth of $400 million. With that and TB12, he's just about to start pulling his weight around that place. It's about time, slacker.

The way he's structured his contract 1 year, but with high void money next year and he made us put in there we cannot franchise him seems to play to that narrative.
It's not an absolute, but sometimes smoke means fire.

The narrative plays into that, though.PetePierson wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 4:33 pm No fucking way he's going to a new team at 46. He is amazeballs and the GOAT but no way catching lightning in a bottle twice and 3 years older.
I don't believe any of that Miami nonsense. And SF had their chance. We all know the chip on Brady's shoulder.... 9ers had their chance and blew it.
His Fox contract is open for when he retires, not next year specifically. He said we have to put in his contract he cannot be franchised. It's a 1 year deal that has $35.1 mm in void money for next season and $10 mm the next 3 seasons.
While he may decide not to play, he hasn't stated this is his last season and he's made it clear that it will likely be his last season here.
I'm not saying the Miami rumors are true, but there's enough people out there who claim to have information from his inner circle, along with the contracts, that puts some possibility to that.
Re: HE’S BACKKKKKK!!!!!
I 100% see him playing for another team. I think the meeting that took place at Manchester United was the team telling Tom that he is not gonna leave while under contract, and Tom telling them he’s not coming back if Arians were still around. Arians “retires,” Tom gets the 1 year out. Tom gets a decent shot at winning on his last year. Before making an ownership/player play in Miami. Especially with the another $300m or $400m penciled into his net worth.

There's a ton of media speculation with nothing concrete. I think it gets play here because Bucs fans shiver at the thought that he doesn't want to play for Tampa even though he clearly stated that he does.uscbucsfan wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 4:30 pmThere's a ton sources that people inside his camp say that he wants to play for another team and try to win another Super Bowl with another team.

But seriously, Tom can do whatever he wants. Thanks for the memories after this season, enjoy Miami or San Fran or the broadcast booth or Timbuktu if that makes ya happy.

More likely he said, "I want to go into broadcasting when I retire, so let's talk dollars."

I wonder what winning the Super Bowl this year would do (because that's obviously a foregone conclusion). Does he go out on top? Or does he want to try for a repeat?
I suppose it all depends on how he views the quality of his own play. I have little doubt he would be brutally honest with himself.

I'm assuming they think Brady will be like Romo commentary on steroids. And for some reason, I am not sure he's going to "great" as an analyst. Then again, that doesn't matter as Aikman has all the personality of a piece of driftwood and has had the job for what seems like 25 years. And Romo is completely overrated... fucking goof.

I don’t believe any of that happened in Manchester. The owners reportedly weren’t even there. If Tom wants to talk to the Glazers he could reach them anytime so why go to a Man U game to call the Glazers who were in the states?Snake wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 4:44 pm I 100% see him playing for another team. Also I don’t buy for a second that Tom wanted Arians gone & Arians just accepted that. It doesn’t make logical sense or fit with what we know of their personalities. One of the reason Arians got passed over as HC for years is he has never been a person to take shit or put on a front for anybody. That same guy supposedly quietly sat down for Tom? Bullshit.

I'd bet this is Brady's final season as a player. He's always stated he wants to play til 45 an now he's done it. He knows this Bucs roster is championship caliber and if not for a series of unfortunate circumstances late in the season (Godwin injury, AB meltdown, Wirfs injury) the Bucs had a excellent chance of repeating as champs.
If the Bucs can stay healthy like they did in 2020 then Brady will have us in the Super Bowl imo.
Given this is year 3 in the system and all the players are mostly back on both sides of the ball, along with the continuity in the coaching staff, I think a good case this 2022 Bucs team is the best one of the past 3 years.

See, TB12 will probably read the defenses better than almost any QB out there, say what he thinks should happen, and the JW tosses a pick because he went against the grain.Kress wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 8:44 amI'm assuming they think Brady will be like Romo commentary on steroids. 375 million dollars is a huge chunk of dough(right meow).
Will it be in 10 years though? Smart of Brady to have his swan song season though. I really hope Evans and him make some beautiful music.

37.5 million per year, Romo was making second most at 17 million(iirc).

Re: HE’S BACKKKKKK!!!!!
Bleacher Report put together some interesting numbers on the Brady/Fox contract.
Retire -> Get Rich(er)
Tom Brady is going to become an announcer for Fox when he retires, according to reports yesterday.
His reported contract: 10 years, $375 million.
(Brady's made $302M in 22 years as a player.)
It's extreme, but it's a trend. NFL announcers are as hot a commodity as a good QB right now.
Contracts handed to announcers in the last two years:
Tom Brady (reported $37.5M a year)
Troy Aikman ($18M)
Tony Romo ($17M)
Joe Buck ($15M)
Al Michaels ($11M)
Kirk Herbstreit ($10M)
And Amazon tried to lure Sean McVay for $15M-plus.
Football (and talking about football) is king.
