Re: HE’S BACKKKKKK!!!!!
Freeing up money is the easy part. Doing so as to not handicap the team in the future is the hard part. There is also this...
Since it was written into his contract, it'll count against the Bucs whether they actually decide to pay it or not.
I imagine we'll have to rebuild this roster instead of trying to "voidable year" our way through yet another offseason. Will it be better overall? Time will tell. But we've got work to do.
Re: HE’S BACKKKKKK!!!!!
You know who might make sense? Melvin Gordon. Still highly productive. Could probably be had for about what we paid Lenny last year. He still has a good year left under the hood.
In fact, there are about a dozen veteran backs who could be really good here in a timeshare.

Re: HE’S BACKKKKKK!!!!!
I'd honestly rather try to get Lenny back or would draft a RB 1st round. At least Lenny doesn't fumble much. Gordon doesn't protect the football and isn't nearly as good as his numbers indicate. A ton of that "production" is against soft boxes with his team behind.MJW wrote: ↑Sun Mar 13, 2022 11:56 pmYou know who might make sense? Melvin Gordon. Still highly productive. Re: HE’S BACKKKKKK!!!!!
This is kind of where I'm at. There's a few names but why the hell would they do us a favor? Not that Fournette should either but at least we can say "devil you know" with him and I can expect a consistently good playoff performance out of him.King Bootz wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 12:01 amI'd honestly rather try to get Lenny back or would draft a RB 1st round. Re: HE’S BACKKKKKK!!!!!
Does Marpet announce he is no longer retired too?
Re: HE’S BACKKKKKK!!!!!
Reading is very hard.
Re: HE’S BACKKKKKK!!!!!
Especially for dipshits like you. I read the comments. I read the post. However, I still wonder if Marpet will change his mind. He has not had his two months yet. He has likely not had phone calls from Tom yet. Time will tell though, Until training camp starts the question will linger. Thanks for being a dick like you always are.

Re: HE’S BACKKKKKK!!!!!
Why would Marpet's decisions about his life be linked to Brady? He's a grown man with his own family. The decisions he makes are his alone to make. This shouldn't influence his life choices in anyway. I think he's perfectly happy and isn't coming back.13F11B wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 7:56 amEspecially for dipshits like you. I read the comments. Re: HE’S BACKKKKKK!!!!!
Of course it does.
Hey, do you wanna bang your head around for another year vs Hey, do you wanna bang your head around for another year with a really really good chance of winning another ring?

Re: HE’S BACKKKKKK!!!!!
Right. Gronk seems to link his professional decisions to Brady. Is he not a “grown man”?

Re: HE’S BACKKKKKK!!!!!
Then you'd have to ask yourself why so many players voluntarily retired during Brady's time in New England.
Your take is very unrealistic. Grown men don't link their life decisions to another. NFL or any other level.

Bootz is just salty. He likes poking people until he gets punched in the mouth. Let him be a dick for a while. Then he will get permabanned again.

Re: HE’S BACKKKKKK!!!!!
Decisions have factors. Changes in those factors could trigger changes in decisions. I think you're confusing stubbornness for manliness.
Re: HE’S BACKKKKKK!!!!!
Guys, Marpet got engaged. He’s gonna live his dreams out for a while.
Re: HE’S BACKKKKKK!!!!!
I would not say they are linked. Linked is like Bootz is an asshole. That shit is linked. I am shocked the dictionary hasn't been updated.King Bootz wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 9:13 am Why would Marpet's decisions about his life be linked to Brady? He's a grown man with his own family. As for Marpet, I do think Brady playing for the Buccaneers would be a 'factor' in his decision. As an adult, he will weigh his options and make a decision. I have to view Brady as coming back as a positive factor in any potential return. Is it enough to tilt the scale? Who knows. Anyone making a claim other than Ali is just guessing or being an ass to cause arguments on a forum (that is you dipshit!)

I think you're making a conclusion based off some false sense of loyalty.
No need to speak in general because it's not a general discussion. Yes or no, is Marpet coming back?

Re: HE’S BACKKKKKK!!!!!
Ironic though that you're ignoring the fact that he already made a decision. You've changed the narrative to "well he hasn't had his 2 months yet". Man made a decision already, very clearly, and you still ignore it.13F11B wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 9:26 amI would not say they are linked. Linked is like Bootz is an asshole. That shit is linked. Re: HE’S BACKKKKKK!!!!!
Define a while. Could be the next 30 days. Could be the rest of his life. At best we can guess until training camp starts. Then we will know. I think Brady returning is a net positive, not a net negative. To put in a way even Bootz might be able to grasp.
If Winston had returned to the Buccaneers Marpet would be LESS likely to return to the Buccaneers
Because Brady is returning to the Buccaneers Marept might be MORE likely to return to the Bucccaneers.
Even more simple version.
Winston = Bad
Brady = VERY, VERY good.

Wrong thread for this discussion, but thoughts on Saquon Barkley? I was hearing rumors (radio show opinion, fwiw) about the Bucs looking at him a couple of weeks ago.

That shit stain loves to die on the stupidest hills. Like when he argued the joke I made with Pete wasn't really a joke. Or when the absent admin was editing his posts.
His brain is definitely damaged.

Using your formula @nybf that's probably Lugz/ATrain.
