3rd times the charm. No "blackspoiltation" and no "seasoning". Official 1st practice was today in preparation for Sunday in Minneapolis.

Here's another little nugget. Vaughn is upset he isn't the #2 back. He skipped practice without permission today.
Get rid of him and be done with it.

He's likely gonna be inactive on game days anyway with Tucker as #2 and Edmonds as the 3rd down/pass catching back. Try to get a conditional pick for him. But it seems clear that his days as a Buc are over

Bummer. Is there is a veteran FA available that will take the 3rd string role.
Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
4th string. Vaughn is 4th string behind an injured Edmonds. That says a lot

Vaughn is as good as gone. Plenty of RBs out there that would be thrilled to have a spot on our 53.

Was that his fault or the OLs fault?

Taking rejection after you've worked so hard is a growing pain. He's 20 something. Talk to him, maybe it never shows its head again. Maybe it does and you do need to cut him. Hopefully he grows from this.
We're likely playing plenty of games where one of our top 3 RBs are going to be hurt, the plan is to rotate our inactive in as needed. Likely sooner than he thinks.

Or just cut him, because he’s ass.
Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
Seems like Auman and Bootz are pushing that narrative.

What is "it" in these mental gymnastics you're trying to perform?mdb1958 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 9:47 amIs it possible it was more important than going to a wedding? Knowing is the long drawn out part.Grahamburn wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 9:43 am

Why have all the inflammatory remarks with poor reporting, I see this as being manipulated. People enjoy being manipulated?Grahamburn wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 9:54 amWhat is "it" in these mental gymnastics you're trying to perform?

Does Auman work at home? Pure speculation but I can see him watching the babies, posting a tweet, and then smiling.

Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
He’s got 3 years of service in the NFL, two of which were playing behind a top 5-10 run blocking OL by all metrics (and the tape backs that up). Buried on the depth chart behind average RBs despite being a 3rd round picks.
He has one huge 55 yard run on a Duo play that was (a) blocked up perfectly up front, (b) CB was terrible on their contain, (c) he put a good stiffarm on a Safety, and (d) the WR blocking downfield was terrific. This inflated his (meager) raw rushing stats enormously.
His conversion rate on “& short” behind this terrific OL was poor. His Forced Missed Tackle rate puts him in middle-of-the-road territory. His receiving stats are utterly horrific and disqualifying (5 drops on 20 targets! 0.69 Yards Per Route run when the RB median for top 50 is 1.9!…in an offense with Screens and checkdowns that should amplify both of these stats!).
He’s given up 7 (SEVEN) pressures in his meager snap count in the Passing Game (another reason why he isn’t in there).
In 3 years he has 1 Solo, 1 Assist, 1 Missed Tackle on STs and he absolutely looks the part of that statline on tape (disinterested, not physical, not consistently assignment sound on teams…JAG at best).
He was a bad pick when the pick was made and it was obvious; you could have gotten the same or better promise/production from a UDFA RB. Everything that has materialized since has just reinforced that. Now this. This is a player asking for his walking papers.

What keeps obvious from happening?
Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
Presumably this is to me?
I’m in Missoula MO for climbing/concert and I left my “mdb to English” translation book at home so you’re going to have to help me out with a few more sentences and some clear context or a cipher so I can decode your encrypted question.

mdb: What keeps obvious from happening?
Translation: If it's so obvious that Vaughn sucks in almost all facets of the running & ST game, why hasn't the Bucs jettison trigger not been pulled already?
Summary: The reason Vaughn is still a Buc is, of course, a question for Bucs management, not you or anyone else in BZ because, obviously, we can only speculate.
Conclusion:
