Re: MLB 23
And up 2-0 to the Yanks in this 3rd game. They look to be turning the corner. Not a moment too soon because July was about as close to terrible as it can get. A few good weeks and I like their chances to lead the AL again

I had to go and say it. Sugar Shane turned into high fructose McClanahan

Re: MLB 23
Shane hasn't been right since he came off the IL. He's throwing strikes but his put away stuff just hasn't been there.

Re: MLB 23
It's still crazy to me. The Yanks are the AL East bottom-dwellers, sitting there in last place.
They would be leading the Central by a game and a half.

Re: MLB 23
I am hopeful this is just a small thing. But if McClanahan somehow blew out his arm too then it's time to make changes to the Rays staff or change their methodology. I'm not singling out a single person. But whatever they're having these guys do since Jim Hickey left is resulting in basically our entire rotation being lost to injury over the last 2/3 years.
McKay could never get healthy. Honeywell could never get healthy. This effectively cost the Rays 2 potential aces
Baz is out
Springs is out
Fleming is out
Rasmussen is out
Kettridge is out but should be coming back
Glasnow blew out his arm too -though MLB banning sticky stuff was deemed the source
Now McClanahan is on the IL in our most important stretch after being babied by Cash all season long.
That would be 9 guys in short order. That goes beyond bad luck. If McClanahan needs some shit like Tommy John too then it's next man up in the meantime. But by that point it's obvious the Rays are doing something all the time that results in routine catastrophic injury and it needs to be looked into by the organization. I don't necessarily want people to lose their jobs as much as just find what is causing this and stop it. More often than not it's something silly. Like something as simple as not enough water or inappropriate stretching could be the cause. Just figure it out and do it.

Re: MLB 23
McClanahan is out for the year. Maybe if they stop forcing pitchers to learn change-ups this wouldn't happen so often.

Re: MLB 23
Done for the season? Yeah I'm done with the World Series aspirations now. How the fuck does this team manage to destroy every pitcher it gets its hands on? At this point I'm not even surprised. It's become routine. I originally didn't want someone fired over it but I'm at the point where I'm actually worried these guys are going to wreck someone's career.
Bring Jim Hickey back. This has got to stop

Re: MLB 23
I am beyond frustrated with all this. The Rays engineered two walk off wins. That is who they are. They went through an offensive funk but it is a long season. I'm not gonna worry about 30ish bad games when there has been like 70 games of this. It looks like the offense is back to its prior consistency and the pitching staff is wrecked. God this sucks. I really think this team had everything it needed to win it all. That's why I was so damn hard on them all the time over champagne problems. If I think they can do it I'll scrutinize every last thing because the little stuff is what wins you games
This is gonna be some little engine that could shit if they win a chip without McClanahan because I don't know how they're gonna do it. Not that they can't. I just can't make it beyond a dream

Damn Wander. What did you do?!

Re: MLB 23
Sounds about right. Well that's both good news and bad news. It's about as serious and allegation as it gets but is readily disproven in a relatively short period of time when you're innocent. This is gonna be a bad couple of weeks for Franco until this is resolved. Damn man I really hope you didn't do it. And I hope she's not a Florida resident. They are thirsty to lock people up down here for stuff like this.

That's awful if she really is 14!! And these pics are disgusting. Cheating on your wife & the mother of your children is bad enough. Doing it with a KID, get the fuck outta here.
Of course it's all alleged at this point. But this doesn't look good.

Re: MLB 23
Talk about irony: Sunday was Wander Franco snapback hat day, where all kids 14 and under got a free Wander hat.
Ugh.
Ugh.

Re: MLB 23
I was originally calm about this because I was optimistic that this too would pass. But nah. Fuck that. Out with Snyder and his crew. Fire them all directly into the sun. I have no beef with Kevin Cash nor the front office because one consistently wins and the other does more than any front office in MLB to improve its roster. I just wanted them to make the team better and they got Civale. Talk about exceeding my expectations. Eflin was a fantastic signing too. Had a bad game last outing but that happens to everyone. They can stay but everyone in charge of our arms needs their walking papers. This is legitimately like the 6th dude we've yeeted into TJ surgery in the last 3 years
Let's hope Taj Bradley is ready to come back up again eh?
