Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Carolina Panthers Official Game Day Thread: Righting the Ship Edition

Happy Game Day Bucs fans! This afternoon your 3-3 NFC South leading Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on the road for the 2nd week in a row, this time in Charlotte for a divisional showdown with the 1-5 Carolina Panthers.

The Bucs are coming off of a close 2 point loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Pittsburgh last week. No one predicted such a thing happening with all of the Steelers injury issues. But as they say "Any given Sunday" and "That's why they play the games".

Well today, the Bucs face something similar. The Panthers are quite literally already in rebuild mode. They've fired HC Matt Rhule after a terrible regime the past 2+ years. They've traded their best weapon Christian Mccaffrey as well as speedster Robbie Anderson to the NFC West. Both of their "starting QBs", Baker Mayfield & Sam Darnold are out with injuries. This just isn't a good team right now.

It won't be easy for the Bucs. 5 starters are out with injury and that doesn't even include S Logan Ryan who is on IR.





Bucs will be debuting their red jersey/pewter pants combination today, while the Panthers will be wearing white jerseys/black pants today.

Weather is perfect. Low 70s, sunny, light wind.

Let's hope for a great game, no (new) injuries, and a Bucs win!

Our bet doesn’t seem nearly as certain as when we made it.

If we win and the falcons lose to the bengals (who are 6.5 point favorites) then we’ll have a game lead in the division and 3-0 divisional record. I wouldn’t underestimate our potential to blow this though. Hard to have confidence after last weeks debacle

But let's talk about the Falcons. Not sure if anyone caught their game against the 49ers last week but they looked like a team on a mission. Like the way their game against us ended woke up a sleeping giant. We'll see how the rest of the season goes. But they looked dare I say dangerous last week.

Atlanta is trending up. They’ve played hard all season long and it shows. I think they take it too the Bengals today.
