He should go before we pick 89.

Re: 2024 Wide Receiver Class
Fuck you @Bootz and all other mofos that are going to disagree with me on this. Bucs should go all in on Brian Thomas Jr if he makes it to pick 20-21. I feel like his speed, smoothness and height make him an unpolished version of Julio Jones. He feels more sure to work out at his position than a Jared Verse at his imo.
Re: 2024 Wide Receiver Class
I mean, I'm not as super aggressive about it as you but I'd be for that.

Re: 2024 Wide Receiver Class
I said I'd be in favor of going receiver. Just not sure we will given the fact that so much money is invested there already, we have 2 well established great players and we have so many needs elsewhere. I don't disagree with you. I just don't realistically see us going that route.
So @Jonny, fuck you too.

Re: 2024 Wide Receiver Class
I would be ok with us going receiver if we trade Godwin and get his salary off the books and bring in some fresh legs that could compliment and one day replace Mike.
Would also net us a fairly decent pick to hopefully shore up another hole.

Re: 2024 Wide Receiver Class
Do you feel like Godwin is still a great #2? I feel like he's struggled more to gain separation since 22 than before the injury. He's lost some of the juice in his running imo and seems to be quite limited to short and mid range routes for productivity. Godwin is more or less a non-factor when it comes to being a deep threat. He also isn't as much a factor in the red zone. I think even more than Evans, we need to groom our next #2 now, with the hopes that he can comfortably surpass Evans once we're done with his current deal.Bootz wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 11:48 pm I said I'd be in favor of going receiver. Re: 2024 Wide Receiver Class
I would rather have Jalen Coker at a much cheaper price.
Re: 2024 Wide Receiver Class
I'd like to see the top 20 or so WR all time Relative Athletic Score to see if that translates to anything noteworthy. Anybody got that data?

Their site doesn't seem to work that great, but feel free to mess around with it. @acmillis
Calvin and Andre Johnson were other 9.99s.

Re: 2024 Wide Receiver Class
Anyone have thoughts on USC's Brenden Rice?
Re: 2024 Wide Receiver Class
Thanks for the link! After reviewing the ALL TIME relative athletic scores, I've concluded that it is not an indicator whatsoever of NFL success IMO.Grahamburn wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 10:15 am https://ras.football/

Not sure if this link will produce exactly what I'm looking at, but here it is: https://ras.football/.
Top 20 RAS WR all time rankings:
1. Megatron
2. Joe Webb
3. Andre Johnson
4. Matt Jones (you mean the dude that played QB in college?!?!?)
5. Moritz Boehringer
6. Adonai Mitchell
7. Javon Walker
8. Julio Jones
9. Chase Claypool
10. Vincent Jackson
11. Roy Hall
12. Bryce Ford-Wheaton
13. Braylon Edwards
14. Breshad Perriman
15. Christian Watson
16. Andrei Iosivas
17. Jeff Janis
18. Miles Boykin
19. Kevin Austin
20. Scott Long
I'll take Mike Evans' 7.0 RAS I guess...

Another bad list to be on for Mitchell.

Re: 2024 Wide Receiver Class
Yikes.
An interesting list, for sure. That's seemingly a solid criteria for WR scouting.

Re: 2024 Wide Receiver Class
Some pretty nice company in that top 10 though. 3 first ballot HOFers. Couple others with great careers. Then several JAGs on down the line.acmillis wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 11:47 amThanks for the link! No wonder why Mitchell is so polarizing. When you consider the lack of production you wonder if he just doesn’t love the game? And that’s just not a guy you draft in the first round. O.J. Howard-esque. Or, do you determine the production is just because of how he was used?

Re: 2024 Wide Receiver Class
Isnt that an AI robot?
Re: 2024 Wide Receiver Class
yes
homerism in play I'm sure, but I was also correct on K. Benjamin not being physical enough for his size and him not translating to the NFL.. also don't think J. Travis will be a 'starting' NFL QB caliber. So I'm not completing blind.
Re: 2024 Wide Receiver Class
I confess that I do not follow FSU games very closely, but I catch some here and there. He has the potential to excel; however, one major issue remains. A true #1 WR?
