Michigan shoulda been more aggressive there at end. Hope it doesn’t come back to bite them.

Tough for OSU. Great season but one nail biting loss and their season most likely is over.

If you go by the “best 4 teams” they prolly should. I think Georgia, Michigan, Oregon and OSU are the 4 best teams in America. But the playoff doesn’t always work out that way. Gotta win your conference or else you need a lot of luck…and this isn’t the year for that.

I hate OSU but think they’re one of best 4. Just my opinion. They won’t get I. Though. I think Georgia, Mich, Oregon and Texas the best possible final 4 we may get.

McCarthy made some crazy throws. He processes fast and is precise. Definitely draftable.

McCord won’t even be an UDFA.

Navybuc wrote: Sat Nov 25, 2023 10:10 am A bit of a separate topic, but I really don't like the direction college football is going.

1) I hate the transfer portal. HATE IT. I don't think you should just be able to have the freedom to sign with a school and say, "Hey, I don't like it here. Let me go somewhere else where I can make some money." I think the one-year penalty should still stand for anyone wanting to transfer.
2) The conferences--I hate this even more. So in essence, we have two super conferences with like 20 teams and that's it. SEC will likely add Clemson and FSU in the coming years. Notre Dame is still out there flirting with the Big 10. Not only that, there are no divisions, so we could get Ohio State-Michigan the week after they play.
3) Not a fan of the 12-team playoff. I think I would enjoy this more if there weren't these super conferences. Everything seems so disorganized right now with these conferences. Schools like USC and UCLA have to travel cross-country like 5 times in a 10-week period...and don't forget, they have school to go to as well. I've always been a proponent of the 6-team idea, with 1 and 2 getting byes or an 8-team. I think 12 is too many.
I want to add this in regard to Michigan-Ohio State. If or when they have a new format, we both go to the playoffs, and head-to-head no longer becomes all or nothing.

Did you go to UM? I forgot.

And I’m not crying. I’m just planning out how I knew Kyle McCord was a shitty quarterback long before everybody else seemingly figured it out. It’s been Ryan Day’s biggest failure by far. If he has a good quarterback playing today, they win easily.

But, he failed to make that happen.

Yup todays game woulda meant nothing because they’d be playing again next week and both teams are going to playoffs. Gonna ruin some of these moments.

Milroe is such a low IQ QB, especially compared to the last three Alabama has had. Guy comfortably recovers the bad snaps and falls on it for a sack on 2nd and goal instead of throwing it away to go back for the next down at 8yd line.

I got to watch three good games today. Texas A&M came to play and this time there was very little stat packing by LSU, they actually needed their QB to win it in the fourth with all that production, and he delivered. Great game, and kudos to that interim HC of A&M who had his team ready to play. On the other game, with my mother a Michigan alum we enjoyed that game too. tOSU will make the 4 if somehow Michigan loses next week, they were still in it with what 30 seconds to go before the Wolverines interception sealed a close win. Then I watched Washington limp to a win against Washington State where one missed field goal by WSU and some suspect calls and non-calls gave the Huskies the win. I would not take Penix with a seventh round pick, his mechanics are terrible, he's gonna crash and burn some NFL team next year. I cannot believe that guy is a Heisman finalist.

Now I'm watching Georgia in the impending destruction of Georgia Tech and despite losing their home field advantage to a sea of red and black in the stands, Tech's trying. I don't think they have enough, but we'll see. They're driving again.

Can’t see FSU as a playoff team even if they find a way to win out. They are not better than teams like Ohio State or Texas. Maybe with Travis…definitely not without.
