Once in a century?
Montana vs Young
Favre returning to Green Bay
Manning returning to Indy
Taking nothing away from the magnitude, but we've seen moments like this before in NFL history. The last 2 within the past 15 years.

Not to be disparaging towards Mr Belichick, but with rare exceptions most offenses run the same concepts in largely the same ways. Just because you can call the same thing in your system doesn't mean the offenses are the same.
To pick a concept out of a hat, every offense I've ever played for or against ran four-verts. Every single one. That doesn't mean that those playbooks were carbon copies of one another, nor that their offenses were the same.

Nope. This one is different than them all. GOAT QB returning one year later to play against his former GOAT HC…after winning the Super Bowl without him.King Bootz wrote: ↑Wed Sep 29, 2021 6:10 pm Once in a century?

Oh yeah they also won 6 Super Bowls together. This would be like if Jordan returned to Chicago after winning a title with the Minnesota Timberwolves (another losingest franchise).

Re: Buccaneers @ Patriots Discussion
I think it’s a close game 27-24. We pull it out. I think NE strength is the defense and Ive seen us WAY too many times vs rookie / back up QBs.
We also have to look at the injuries and our secondary right now. Oh btw there’s also the CROWD, that’ll be going bats#%* crazy once kick off happens. Factor in coaching and this is one heck of a hornets nest we are walking into.
To save time regarding any future game predictions. I’m in the “Every game will be a test “ camp, until I see a PASS RUSH !!!!
NO pass rush = NO gimme W’s
* Penalties , refs fault or not, also need fixin’

From what I understand, it comes down to terminology, which comes down to coaching tree. The Walsh Tree, the Ernhardt-Perkins model, etc. All playbooks have words that mean "quick slant to the split end," they just use different words to communicate that.Cheb wrote: ↑Wed Sep 29, 2021 7:27 pmNot to be disparaging towards Mr Belichick, but with rare exceptions most offenses run the same concepts in largely the same ways. But if one was simply to watch the plays, divorced from all of that, I'm guessing probably...90% of the plays are in 90% of the playbooks? And those numbers go up if you just look at the primary targets or responsibilities in the case of the defense.

Lol Devin White's a stud and one of the very best MLB in league. Funny I said the same thing last year when some of you were freaking out. This isn’t Madden. Other teams game plan and get paid millions to do just that.
Thankfully we got The better Devin, and he will be a pro bowl this year.
Remember when some here wanted Todd Bowles fired early in the year last year …. Good times. Lol
Relax we have played 3 games.

#itsabucalife we make rookie and back up qbs look like hall of famers, historically.

WR Antonio Brown has been activated from the Covid list.
So he's back.

He's a taller CB at 6'1, which is consistent with what the Bucs like.
If Dean is back at practice and healthy, and Sherman is able to play next week, I propose that we let Davis play Nickel since he's the most athletic and best m2m guy.
When we have 3 or more CBs on the field let Sherman play the LCB spot he's played his entire career, let Dean play RCB where he's played most his snaps, then just kick Davis inside to nickel.
If we are in base defense just have the Davis at LCB and Dean at RCB like we normally do when SMB is out with injury.

Re: Buccaneers @ Patriots Discussion
Brady having his own Jordan “flu game” is too rich. The football gods have blessed him.

Re: Buccaneers @ Patriots Discussion
Thank you! I was gonna say, most teams share concerpts. There are only so many routes you can run and ways you can block. Yeah some people come up with new stuff now and then but it's also a copy cat league. Everything has bits from all kinds of those that came before them they just call them different things. That's why most of the time QBs talk about "learning the language".Cheb wrote: ↑Wed Sep 29, 2021 7:27 pmNot to be disparaging towards Mr Belichick, but with rare exceptions most offenses run the same concepts in largely the same ways. Bill is just trying to stir shit up. He knows that whole "Brady offense vs Arians offense" shit got under Bruce's skin last season.

Jenna Laine said explicitly that Brady isn't sick, FWIW. He loses his voice from time to time from all the screaming. I can't speak to the gauntness, but that's often how Brady looks to me. Not worried about it at this point.
Gronk can undoubtedly play without practicing, if it's a coin-flip. But if it was anyone else at any other game, we'd probably be counting him out by now. I'm picking up Cameron Brate in fantasy this week just in case.
Brady wanting to put in extra work for this game is only surprising because it implies he could go home at 6:30 more often and doesn't. Which is only surprising because he's insane.

Re: Buccaneers @ Patriots Discussion
Mr. Brady doesn't need a voice when he can telepathically communicate with his team mates
Re: Buccaneers @ Patriots Discussion
Gronk returned to the game Sunday vs the Rams.
X-rays were negative
I'd bet Gronk does NOT miss the return to Foxborough

Re: Buccaneers @ Patriots Discussion
Present does not mean full participants. But a positive sign heading into the weekend.

Super pumped to see JPP’s name on this list.
I’ve never relied on a man with 7.5 fingers before…

Interesting. One doctor suggests surgery another one lets you get back on the field in two weeks.

Re: Buccaneers @ Patriots Discussion
The good and the bad of this is that the rest of the way, the only real QB we have left to face is Josh Allen - which is good. The bad part is that we struggled with 2 good QB's and one decent QB. If all our defense can beat is bad QB's, the odds of us facing bad QB's in the playoffs is slim to none.Backside wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 9:26 am Need a get right game. Really hope it’s not emotional and hard fought. Hopefully Brady just dunks on them all night and it’s a laugher.
We’ve got some easy QBs coming up. Defense needs to figure their shit out. If we’re still getting gashed then we have serious issues.
Edit:
