Free Agency Frenzy Thread
Re: Free Agency Frenzy Thread
And so the NFC South gets - if possible - weaker? Holy schamoley.
Re: Free Agency Frenzy Thread
Right? How does that compute with the other QB hauls we've seen?

Wait, are people pretending Matt Ryan is more than the bum they said he was?
It was abundantly clear last season that he's not a good fit in Arthur Smith's offense.

Re: Free Agency Frenzy Thread
Matt Ryan is/was 'serviceable'.. so while he's not a world beater, he's better than what they have at Indy, and what is left in ATL can't be seen as an uptick.King Bootz wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 1:50 pm Wait, are people pretending Matt Ryan is more than the bum they said he was?

Re: Free Agency Frenzy Thread
The amount of starting QBs, star QBs at that, moving around this year is unprecedented. Jimmy G and Baker Mayfield are still up for grabs too. I can't recall anything like this in my lifetime.

Falcons are expected to pursue Marcus Mariota
Re: Free Agency Frenzy Thread
Our schedule sucks this year, but I heart the NFC South. That should be at least 5, if not 6.

Is there a team that's gonna wanna pay Jimmy G $25mil this year?

Tell me I'm not the only one hoping for a Saints vs Falcons prime time meeting. Winston vs Mariota II. Who can come out looking less shitty than the other?
The debate alone would be worth it.

Root for a tie, obviously. Something like 12 - 12. I'm thinking a pick 6, safety, and fg for each team.whistlepig777 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 3:47 pmI wouldn't know who to root forKing Bootz wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 3:46 pm

Those Winston vs Mariota battles might actually be fun when we don't have a stake in the matchup

I think when the past two champions seem to be so directly from QB trades, it make sense that these moves are becoming more commonCrocaneers wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 4:28 pm This is the most QB activity I recall in quite some time

If by “some time” you mean since the resurrection of Christ then you’re correct.Crocaneers wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 4:28 pm This is the most QB activity I recall in quite some time

Good point .. I was thinking it was due to the lack of talent in the draft, but your theory is much more likely.Noles1724 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 4:32 pmI think when the past two champions seem to be so directly from QB trades, it make sense that these moves are becoming more commonCrocaneers wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 4:28 pm This is the most QB activity I recall in quite some time

I think you’re correct. Add in that most of the league is now using the Saints’ method of cap management and I believe this movement is here to stay.Noles1724 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 4:32 pmI think when the past two champions seem to be so directly from QB trades, it make sense that these moves are becoming more commonCrocaneers wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 4:28 pm This is the most QB activity I recall in quite some time

Winston liable to be a stud this year if he stays healthy......
5-2 last year, 11 TD's and 3 picks before he got hurt.
Plus with the extra time in his team's offense he will easily out play Mary-Otta in his new home.

Re: Free Agency Frenzy Thread
Two things I love about this play.
1. Marpet pulling and beating the defender to the edge.
2. Look at big ol Donovan Smith haul ass downfield to blow up the safety!
