Underwood obviously is not ready yet. He has a good arm, but most of his throws are inaccurate. Hopefully, that can be fixed for the next game and beyond.

I’m still not sure about Moore. He did great in the last three games but he lacks the emotional

What do you think @Cheb
I am not sold on Sherrone Moore, just as I wasn't last year or the year prior. When he was interim coach during the season we won the Natty, the team was barely functional with the exact same personnel. Last year, the offense was just as terrible.

He's a former offensive coordinator who cannot coordinate an offense. And while I am run-first coach myself, you HAVE to have some passing concepts that you've workshopped and repped and feel good about to have some semblance of offensive balance. We cannot play 1950s football and win consistently.

Moore is not a fantastic recruiter (Underwood came to Michigan over LSU for money, not scheme or loyalty), he's not a great program builder, not a scheme guru on either side of the ball, a dead fish on gamedays. One must ask, what is Sherrone Moore actually good at? Calling runs into loaded boxes isn't an in demand skill.

We've made our bed and I suspect we will continue to lay in it for the remainder of the season, but I am deeply unimpressed with his head coaching tenure.

Though, to his credit, we DID beat Ohio State last season, though I feel that was due to the Buckeyes trying to beat us at our own game by slamming the ball repeatedly into our premier pair of DTs instead of actually playing to their strengths, so imo they beat themselves more than we beat them, but I digress.

I hope so too, considering he has a record of 2-9 against the Buckeyes.

Most of the Buckeyes alums want him gone.

They have two solid wins under their belts. I would expect to see them solidly in the rankings this week; bypass the 20's and put them somewhere in the high teens.

I'm also rooting for USF, but styles make fights, and I don't think they match well with Miami at all. Miami wins this easily. I hope I'm wrong.

Yeah. That's where my head is at. Miami ain't Florida or Boise St. Stranger things have happened, but I can't see it happening 3 weeks in a row.

I mean, if they lose to Miami , then run the table. They’re good enough to make the playoffs, and they’ve already beaten two ranked teams. If I were the committee , I would choose USF over any group of 5 teams

USF just doesn't / hasn't beaten themselves. They play solid football and Miami isn't going to coast and win this one, they're gonna have to earn it by playing better and not making mistakes and stupid penaties

The Cinderella team has to execute flawlessly and scheme every week to make up for gaps in raw talent against stronger opponents. But one of the toughest hurdles to scheme around is a demonic defensive line. There are only so many tricks you can pull (particularly if you’re losing late). at some point, you’ve got to line up and block them.

And Miami? They have one such d-line.

I know it's early and the rankings are still in flux, but....

Notre Dame is 0-1, ranked #9
Notre Dame sits out a week while other teams play and win games.
Notre Dame is still 0-1, moves up to #8

Pourquoi?

Look like Billy is out regardless

UPDATE: Florida reportedly “has the buyout money” to buy out HC Billy Napier, but is expected to “let the next month or so play out,” according to On3’s Andy Staples. Napier, whose job security has been in question since Saturday’s loss against South Florida, would receive an amount valued at over $20,000,000 if Florida were to decide to terminate his contract.

The Gators will enter a daunting stretch against (3) LSU, (5) Miami, (7) Texas, and (16) Texas A&M, where Napier’s future could be revealed. He’ll likely need a near-perfect record through the four games in order to take some heat off his back.
