Dabo going off script should happen more often.

So was Brent Venables the machine behind Clemson? Seems like since he’s left, Clemson’s gone backward while Venables is basically breaking down Oklahoma and doing a pretty good job of building it back up his way.

Venables is a great coach, but no. Even this year, defense isn't the problem - and certainly not on the talent/recruiting end of it. Clemson could have 5 defenders, and I might venture 6, go in the first three rounds this year.

Clemson is getting left behind by the portal. Dabo won't use it, so other teams can poach his depth, but he does not bring anybody in. It's unsustainable in today's environment; at least, if you want to be one of the elites.

That's the big picture issue, while the more immediate one is that, for the past 2-3 years, the team has not had any wide receivers to speak of. Decent size/hands guys, but no speed whatsoever. This year's team is the worst. Every play they run is inside of 10 yards, so defenses just tee off. It's completely inept. Kind of the flip-side of recruiting, there. They went from Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence slinging the ball to Tee Higgins and Justyn Ross to Cade Klubnik's favorite "big play" target being his 240lb tight end.

Speaking of Cade Klubnik, what's happened? Pre-season, that's all I heard was how this guy was going to have a breakout season, a Heisman contender. He's the next Trevor Lawrence. He's turned into Spencer Rattler.

See post above. He might as well be throwing to me split wide to one side, you on the other, and mdb in the slot. Nothing to do but feed his tight end and dump off to RBs.

Seriously, though, he does flash some brilliant throws, but he rarely has a chance to do anything. Otherwise, I have an issue with his Baker disease - too many batted balls at the line.

This is getting comical.
Photos circulating on social media purportedly show Stalions, the suspended Michigan staffer, in full CMU apparel during the Sept. 1 game in East Lansing

OSU
Georgia
FSU
Michigan
Washington
Oregon

Personally, I'd put Georgia at the bottom of that list. I just don't see the committee tanking them right out of the gate.

If they go by SOS, Ohio St and FSU should be 1 and 2.
If it’s by eye test, it’s prolly Georgia and Michigan.

It’s prolly some combo of both, which means top 4 can be any which way. I personally think Oregon is a top 4 team (not necessarily deserving over the other 4) and will find their way there by the end of the year.

crazy story -- it seems the Colorado players' lockers got robbed during the game...
Colorado coach Deion Sanders on Tuesday called on the NCAA or the Rose Bowl to reimburse his players who were robbed of jewelry, cash and other items from their locker room during last week's 28-16 loss at UCLA.

I’m glad Michigan is not ranked 1.. extra motivation

They’ll destroy both Penn State and Ohio State anyway.

Eh…Ohio State was outplayed by Notre Dame. But they’ve got the schedule.

Still think in the end it’s Georgia and Michigan with a dangerous Oregon lurking.

At this point in the season, these rankings are premature, because the big matchups at the end of the season have yet to happen for many teams, Michigan included. The cream will rise to the top.

That said, I cannot WAIT until next season when the playoffs get expanded to 12 teams, and we get to see a real tournament for the Natty at the top college level for the first time in history. That's gonna be some good football.

It almost does seem like a bad sketch of some sort.

I assume all teams "improperly" scout. I also assume they're not dumb about it.

As much I love the Big Ten but this is accurate.

I can’t wait for Oregon, Washington,UCLA and USC to join the conference.
How bad is the Big Ten West at scoring?

An unbelievable stat shows EVERY SINGLE OFFENSE in the B1G West is failing to meet the same low standards Brian Ferentz was held to.

Worst division in major college football?

Just when you think Michigan State can't get any lower, they surprise you and (maybe) hire an unquestionable shitstain of a football coach.

Agreed. This is our worst QB and offense since Zwick. Even Boeckman was better

Yeah but Georgia doesn’t look like a #2 team and FSU doesn’t look like a # 4 team. I don’t know what to make of Michigan until they actually play someone. Still think Oregon is dangerous.
Thought they were the better team vs Wash and don’t see a team on their schedule left that will trip them up.
