Fortunately this seems to be a good year to draft Linebackers and with LVD retiring, Licht will be forced to invest in the position.
One would think Bowles would be chirping at Licht behind the scenes for LB help because he can't possibly be happy with how the position group is playing.
Who told you this is a great year for linebacker, Drafttek is listing 4 in the top 100.
Baker Mayfield recently won the FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week award for Week 5 of the 2025 NFL season for his performance in the Buccaneers' 38-35 win over the Seahawks, which included completing 29-of-33 passes for 379 yards and two touchdowns.
I said what I said
I didn’t pledge allegiance to the flag at 7am for 18 years, for liberty and justice for all, just to be called radical for wanting liberty and justice for all.
I'd like to have Mike Evans a couple or more years where he isnt worried about getting a thousand yards, just a pure team player out to make the team function crazy good. I think Godwin would do this also.

Call me crazy but I think we'll be pretty good when our top 3 WRs from last year are healthy. Just a hunch.
I dont think they necessarily have to be healthy to produce. I'm convinced Evans is never healthy. Egbuka is fine. Godwin likely wont be healthy until next season. McMillan is a mystery. Neck strain is nothing to brush off and given how long he's been out he likely had at least minimal nerve damage.

Sure would like to poach the oft-underutilized Marvin Harrison and/or Chris Olave.
just saying…
Position overload. And there's a less than zero chance the Cardinals move Harrison. Why would they?
Yeah, ARI isn't going to trade Harrison. they'd trade Kyler first. And may be in that market at the end of the season. But Harrison is their 'next big thing' so he isn't going anywhere for at least another 3 years.

Not sure I’d want Harrison or Olave at this point.
Harrison hasn’t lived up to his college tape, could be Murray is the issue.
Olave has the skills still, but is playing in the skittish side. Understandable after the concussions. Guess he hangs his cleats up after the next one, don’t get the sense he’s like Tua.

Bit of an update on Goedeke. Not very promising.
Really disappointed we trotted him out there week 2. Could be a week closer to his return. At this point I’d say we’d be fortunate to get him back before the Bye.

Thats what it's looking like at the very minimum. The last sentence is what concerns me: "Injury shouldn't be seen as season ending right now". That means there's a possibility that it is.

Knowing how Bowles is with reporting injuries he'll be back next week.
Marvin Harrison Jr, #4 pick: 82 career receptions, 10 TDs, 1191 yards over 22 games. 15 receptions, 4 TDs and 243 yards came in the first four games he played. Has two 100+ yard games, one game with multiple scores. Total of 212 yards gained after the catch for a stellar 2.6 yac/catch.
Nabers, two picks later has over 40 more receptions, 284 more yards, one less TD and 514 YAC in 3 less games. Ladd McConkEy drafted 30 picks later in the second round 103 receptions on 2 less targets with 171 more yards, 243 more YAC and 2 less TDs.
Bucky Irving has 12 less receptions as a RB.
Emeka Egbuka in 17 less games has half of Harrison’s TD total and roughly a third of Harrison’s yardage and receptions. 70% of Harrison’s YAC and a ten percent higher catch rate.
If the Bucs had drafted him, we’d be hearing how bad a pick it was considering who was drafted after him.

We have to do something. Licht thought he could get away with Reddick as the big get. But sometimes bargain bin shopping isn't good enough. And outside of QBs, Edge is probably Licht's worst drafted position since he's been here.
These guys don't grow on trees and sometimes you have to pay the price to get one. Crosby for 2nd & 4th round picks?? All day. Miss me with tbat "but think about who we could draft" bullshit.
