I don't think it matters really. They just aren't very good. As long as Hackett and Saleh are there, this is what we are. Collection of assorted junk with a decent piece or two...

Re: New York Jets Official Thread
Kinda how I feel about Todd.
Re: New York Jets Official Thread
Saleh wishes he has Todd's back to back division titles and a playoff win.
As well as Todd's oc/qb pair.

So jets ok Reddick for a trade. Question is: would he be worth it? I know he is a good player but doesn't seem like a very team friendly personality.
Re: New York Jets Official Thread
The guy has some machoism to him. Thinks his shit doesn’t stink. But if you were top 3 in the history of the league at naturally throwing the football, you’d probably be a douche too.
Everything I’ve read about Aaron though: tries to think outside of the box, tries to read, tries to be available to those he trusts. Plus his appearances on McAfee are pretty good. There are times I scratch my head but there is a reason McAfee’s show took off. Rodgers was the reason.

Re: New York Jets Official Thread
Because he has the owner by the balls and is responsible for the complete and total collapse of the jets. He's like Deshawn Watson. A cancer.

@Betsy He reminds me of Roethlisberger. It's everyone's fault but his own and any perceived criticism during an interview and it's the other person's fault

Betsy is correct. Aaron Rodgers is a washed up "has been" who's given way too much authority over this roster which is nothing more than a collection of over hyped crap.
Re: New York Jets Official Thread
Darn, that’s harsh! If he led your team to the Super Bowl, are you still going to criticize him?

Re: New York Jets Official Thread
I coached high school football for over 35 years. Never once did any team I was part of use 2 time outs in the first quarter, all on offense and after 10 plays..
Jets used all three of theirs and they're "supposed" professionals. What a garbage franchise.

Re: New York Jets Official Thread
I’m surprised the Jets 2-6 start. They have a decent offense led by Rodgers, Wilson, and Hall, and they also have a decent defense. Perhaps Aaron Rodgers is the problem? @McFan
And they are 0-2 after they acquired Adams

So.. I was thinking. From outside looking in Woody Johnson never struck me as a terrible owner (unless i am missing something regarding his character) but it seems like every time he tries to do good it just never goes the way it should.
Re: New York Jets Official Thread
Maybe they need Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez back. They went to the AFC Championship game back to back.

If you go a little further back in early 2000 they had a fun team to watch Al Groh(HC), Testaverde Chrebet and Curtis Martin. Forget who they had on D. I'm not sure if Mo Lewis and Aaron Glenn were on that team.

Lewis, Glenn and John Abraham (Pro Bowler) led the defense. That was Groh's last year. They went 9-7. Herm Edwards took over and they earned a wild card in 2001 with a 10-6 record.Central_Buc wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 9:24 am If you go a little further back in early 2000 they had a fun team to watch Al Groh(HC), Testaverde Chrebet and Curtis Martin. I can't take the Buccaneers sucking so much that this thread keeps going to the top. Fuck.

Why do they always have to mess up aisle 7? Why not some other aisle for a change?

Re: New York Jets Official Thread
I know most of you don't care BUT this is therapeutic for me to discuss the worst team in the NFL by a mile. Fire the coach, fire the GM, fire Fireman Ed... doesn't matter. A lame Aaron Rodgers has destroyed this football team. Start over. End of story.
