The Bucs locked up their #1 receiver as soon as they could..Then they lured TB to TB. Next, they paid the #2 receiver who they drafted in the third round. Much smarter strategy.
Adams knew that the Packers would be weaker paying Rodgers all of that cash.

Where is your source on that?
People are reporting that Adams told Rodgers that he didn't want to be in GB anymore and wanted to play with Carr before Rodgers entered contract negotiations.

What is his next season hit? I bet that Adams can add and subtract and see that he would be squeezed out by Rodgers hogging the $$$.
It doesn't sound like you've read what I posted.
Adams decided this before Rodgers entered contract negotiations. He wanted to leave before there was any math he could do.
You really don't thin that Adams could project what would happen if Rodgers got a huge contract? that was the speculation at the time.
I read what you posted, I don't think a reasonable person would believe that Adams would see Green Bay as a situation where either the QB or receiver would be getting the record breaking contract. I could see it all the way from Florida.

Many thought Rodgers was leaving before it was announced...much less that long of a contract.
Adams said last year he didn't want to be in GB anymore. He turned down a contract extension last season. Rapaport reported that Adams and the Packers FO were in a bad place in 2021 and Adams had no intent in signing a long term contract with the team.

Obvious: Either Rodgers stayed and hogged all of the $$$, or he played with a rookie/stiff at QB.
Is that hard to figure out?
You're projecting.
For all we know he hates the Packers FO and is tired of Rodgers drama, but we don't know.
With the cap skyrocketing, the Packers, Chiefs, who ever gets Watson and all the other massive QB deals that we will see top these aren't going to crush teams to the point fans believe.

The simple answer is that Adams is doing what is best financially for himself.

Did Adams break the $25M APY Doctor has been waiting on?
Yeah, but he’s a top 3 WR at worst. The 25 AAV Doctor thing was for a #2 WR.
I've been saying that if you're a top 10 WR you rarely hit the market and when you do you usually reset it or at the least end up in the top 3. Even if you may not actually be a top 3 WR. Because that's the only way some of these teams are going to even get a #1 WR let alone a top one. So they pay.
I understand the position the Pack were in. When Adams threatened to hold out the season, obviously they (and the people around the league) believed him, because that torpedoed his value. Then finding out it wasn't just about money, and maybe he didn't want to be in Wisky anymore...it's easy in a vacuum to feel like the Packers got ripped off (I do), but they likely did the best they could under those circumstances (though I would have held out for an affordable veteran maybe.)

And let's head on down the road
