Getting things back on track, I wonder if David Carr wears his Super Bowl ring to Thanksgiving.

You're deflecting. And I'm not making a correlation between those different teams. I'm simply asking if its true or not that our record outside of the NFC South since 2022 is 16-21 or not. It's not a hard question. It's a matter of whether or not you and @BucsNBills can accept reality or not. You calling it "doom and gloom" is like someone asking you if 5 + 6 = 11 and you saying "well what about 7 and 8".

Its a very simple true or false question. If you don't want to answer just say so and further cement the fact that you don't live in reality.
C'mon Bootz.. The Bucs aren't the same team. going into a new season, as they were a couple of years ago. The past record in this case really is irrelevent. There are things that have changed with this team, mostly for the better.

Baker, going into his third year (albeit with a new OC) is adjusted to everything here and seems poised to take the Bucs to the next level. I dunno, I think we do better this year than the last. Are we a 14-win team yet? I'd say the odds are better than they ever have been.
Yall are making this way more complex than it needs to be. Has nothing to do with "what type of team we are now vs then". Nothing to do with changes. Nothing to do with any of that.

I only stated AN IMMUTABLE FACT: SINCE 2022 WE ARE 16-21 VS THE NFL OUTSIDE OF THE DIVISION. What about that is difficult or to comprehend? I truly don't get it. I feel like if I asked a 4th grader they'd be able to look it up and answer the question. Grown adults are struggling to understand it though so I am confused.

By retiring with a record of 14-13, Carr becomes only the third Saints QB ever to have a winning record playing at least one full season. The others are Brees (142-86) and Hebert (49-26).

I was hoping he’d go through rehab and make them cut him to screw their cap further.

Correct.

However Mooz point is: this team isn't the same as those teams.

I'd agree.

There are some things which should be better and some which are declining.

I'd be surprised if Evans, Godwin, Vea, & Dean are better. I wouldn't be surprised if LVD, Godwin, or Evans are worse.

SVD might surprise us and actually play half a season or more. Braswell might surprise us too:

Reddick might surprise as well.

Will these changes along with our incoming rookie class present a serious challenge to the rest of the NFC? We shall see ...

Perfect. Then this should be the absolute last time anyone makes a "since (pick a year) ......" type post then.

Pretty sure someone posted about Mike Evans having the most TDs since 2010 despite not playing in the NFL until 2014 recently and it didn't get any push back. Correct response should've been, "yea but that was a different Mike back then so what's the REAL story".

This fanbase is unbelievable.

Again SO WHAT?

Sounds like the setup for a straw man argument.
16-21? WHO CARES?
There is NOTHING to support that continuing so why are you dwelling on it?

You aren't wrong, but a big reason for it is injury. When we lost Evans and Godwin, the team tanked. That's not even counting all the lost starters at ILB and DB.

Early in the year, when fully healthy, we whooped Washington, Detroit and the Eagles in 4 weeks. With the added depth, we will be better suited to withstand a few injuries to the WR corp without collapsing.

Eagles had injuries that game though.

The Saints would've hit him with a NFI list destination since he injured himself away from team activities and he wouldn't have a claim to his salary anyway if he couldn't play. Thats why he retired and as @Grahamburn put it, did them a favor.

About Two years late. But he’s leaving on his own terms, and most players don’t get to say that.

I wouldn't exactly call a labrum tear and degenerative changes to the rotor cuff "leaving on his own terms".

Makes sense. Didn’t realize it was a NFI injury.

Meh, my only point was that he got to make the decision, instead of being cut. Most players don't get to do that. Especially mediocre players like Carr.

Great find @Snake. And despite the denial from @Doctor and @BucsNBills, it's still true.

We're paying the price for a half-measure taken by The Union 160 years ago.

The New Union will correct that mistake.

BucsNBills wrote: Sat May 10, 2025 11:45 pm We have the best QB, HC, GM, and overall roster in the division. I don't fear any NFCS team going into the 2025 season(other than Saints still ongoing dirty play).

Raheem Morris is still Raheem Morris and the Failcons still the Failcons. The Panthers have a middle school child playing QB. The Saints have a rookie head coach that's somehow younger than the rookie QB they just drafted.
I agree. But there is also the reason which you didn't like.
