Hill, Roby, Jenkins, and Davis restructured this morning to open up 29.9 million in cap space.
How much money is left for next year though?
I think they have about the same amount of dead cap as we do the next 2 years, but the cap is rising so rapidly in the next few years, it shouldn't be a big deal.

That is amazing. I read an article yesterday that said they were still $1 million over. What did they do that I missed?

To me that signals they think they have an answer at QB. That is some amazing restructuring in 24 hours.

Dan Patrick said the Saints met with Watson last night for a 2nd time. He says it's down to the Saints and Falcons and the Panthers and Browns are out of the running.

Sounds like he's for sure going to our division...let's all hope it's the Falcons or that the Saints will have to give up pieces on Defense if they get him, because that would be bad news for us.

The browns still have a good roster yeah? Definitely the best out of all of those teams.

I understand the connection to the Falcons and the region. But you’re talking about rebuilding a bad roster sans a bunch of important picks and presumably drafting later than you normally would be because Watson is gonna carry you to some wins.

It’s going to be interesting

It's said to be at least 3 1st for him.

Hopefully it blows up in their face, but I think that's a pretty fair price for a top 5-7 QB at 26 years old. The Browns have spent, what 6-7 1st trying to find that exact thing?

Fucking pussies.
It is a team game.

His last year playing he was 1st in pass yards, 1st in completion %, 7th in TDs, (33 TDs/7 INTs) with almost 500 yards rushing with a terrible team around him.

All of that and being 26 years old is why so many NFL teams were making offers for him.

There is room to question his on field play, especially looking at the leads he's blown in the playoffs...Plus his off field shit, but it's pretty rare a young talented QB like Watson is available. Jay Cutler was the last and it's valid to point out how much of a failure he was in Chicago.

And he won what? 4 games. Some dude that none of us ever heard of previously won like 2-3 with a worse roster last season.
No, that's fair. I added to my post with an edit.

I saw for a 1st and a 2nd potentially.

If so, that's a pretty good haul for a WR who wasn't going to play on the FT.

edit: It's not really debatable IMO that he is the very best WR in the NFL right now.

The AFC West is an arms race. And the Raiders just closed the gap between them and KC IMO.

I’d say Cooper Kupp just had a season of debating that.

I’ll be fascinated to see both Adams and Rodgers without the other.

Adams has done this 4 years in a row. Kupp broke out last year and yes he just got a decent QB and Adams has Rodgers...but 1 year doesn't change things for me...that's just me.

Per a source, the Packers we’re willing to pay Adams equally to what the Raiders are with this new deal but Adams preferred to play elsewhere.

Aaron Rodgers was aware of the developments with Adams as they unfolded in recent days.
The Packers were willing and could afford to pay Adams. Adams wanted out...maybe because of the whole Rodgers debacle.

No shit. Good find.

I understand that Green Bay maybe isn’t for everyone too. Nevada also has no state income tax IIRC.

I think Carr is a lot better than most give credit to, but we'll see if he can actually take a step to be elite...no excuses.

It doesn't sound like it's about winning. Even with Oaklands additions, it's going to be tough in that conference. The Packers had/have an easier road.

If I had to bet, both will still do really well without each other. W

Agreed overall. I’ve watched Aaron make a lot of who?’s look good. Putting that money and assets into other parts of the team may be the new formula they need.

Just shows how difficult it is to pay a top tier QB and top tier receiver(1) the market rate these days.

Unless you have Tom Brady as your QB. He has two top tier receivers.

The Packers offered the same amount and Adams still didn't want to play there anymore.
