Eventhough it'd be a complete slaughter, i think it'd be fun seeing the superbowl champ vs the gray cup champ.
The Official 2025 Off-Season Thread
Re: The Official 2025 Off-Season Thread
Well I mean Canada could end up being the 51st state so yeah, it’s possible.
Mexico? I wouldn’t hold my breath on that one. If they’re going to go international it will be London. But I don’t think it’s happening any time in the next 10 years. Too many new stadiums being built and they will get their week in the spotlight before London. Nashville getting a new stadium. Jacksonville. Washington, Cleveland, and Chicago may be all be getting indoor fields (which I hate…I like outdoor stadiums).

Breaking: The San Francisco 49ers have granted Deebo Samuel and his agent permission to find a trade partner for the wide receiver, Samuel told Adam Schefter. This comes after Samuel asked San Francisco to trade him during the players’ exit meetings after the season.

One trillion% no to acquiring him. Hasn’t played a full season in forever and is literally nothing special. Hard pass.Phantom wrote: ↑Sun Feb 09, 2025 12:41 pmBreaking: The San Francisco 49ers have granted Deebo Samuel and his agent permission to find a trade partner for the wide receiver, Samuel told Adam Schefter. Lot of pass rush seemingly available. Excited to see it unfold.

Micah is what Devin White should've been. I'm all for it.

Wow an opening night in a place other than Kansas City next year? Going to feel weird.
As for who they'll face, my money is on the Lions--the NFC Championship Game we all wanted but never got.

Either Lions or Rams. Isn't it common to make it a replay of the conference championship game? Maybe not every year but my memory....which may be wrong....has it as a rematch.

I’m definitely here for that. It’s wild to see this Eagles team and think “yeah we beat them”
Re: The Official 2025 Off-Season Thread
We beat Philly. Shoulda beat KC on the road. Beat Washington (unfortunately not when it mattered). Beat Detroit. Yet we lost to Atlanta twice. Lost to the Cowboys. Lost to SF. Very nearly lost to NO and Carolina. Talk about a weird season.Primeminister wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 12:52 pmI’m definitely here for that. Re: The Official 2025 Off-Season Thread
In the last decade, I don’t remember many conference championship games being replayed outside of this past year. KC also hosted Houston and Detroit after winning the SB. We played Dallas. Rams played Bills. My memory only goes back so far but that’s what I remember.Four Verticals wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 12:52 pmEither Lions or Rams. Re: The Official 2025 Off-Season Thread
That was a completely different Eagles team we beat in September.
They were without Lane Johnson, Devante Smith and AJ Brown. They had yet to insert Cooper DeJean in their starting lineup and were still using Slay & Maddox primarily.
Remember, the Falcons also beat them in Philly in week 2.

Yeah. Must be my imagination. I looked and it hasn't happened all that much. Maybe just talking about it had it seared into my mind.Navybuc wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 1:00 pmIn the last decade, I don’t remember many conference championship games being replayed outside of this past year. I actually thought the same thing at first because when we won in 2002 we played the Eagles the next year. But then I thought about it more and was like "It's actually kind of rare."Four Verticals wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 2:28 pmYeah. Must be my imagination. I looked and it hasn't happened all that much. Hypothetical: Bucs defeated Commanders and make it to the NFC Championship game v Philly, what's the score?Bootz wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 1:55 pmThat was a completely different Eagles team we beat in September.

We’d lose by 20+. Baker would get happy feet and it would be downhill from there.__Chef__ wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 4:03 pmHypothetical: Bucs defeated Commanders and make it to the NFC Championship game v Philly, what's the score?Bootz wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 1:55 pm

I could see Evans & Bucky making a game of it, but yeah they'd need to keep up with that offense ... we know this D wouldn't stop them.Primeminister wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 4:08 pmWe’d lose by 20+. Baker would get happy feet and it would be downhill from there.

Bucs 20
Eagles 35
I think our defense is a bit better than Washington's. However our OL gets murdered up front vs their DL. Plus their secondary has an advantage against our receivers with DeJean being able to man up better than Maddox.

Bowles has figured out Hurts (and Goff) way more than the other way around. Add to our usually good run defense. Which makes the Commanders lost hurt that much more. I really thought we could run the table.

Re: The Official 2025 Off-Season Thread
While I appreciate your continued optimism unfortunately we couldn’t force a punt against the commanders so our early essentially moral victories against those teams before they hit their proverbial strides don’t really mean much.
Both of them would have hung 40+ on this joke of a defense in January.
Re: The Official 2025 Off-Season Thread
Granted, I would've felt hella better about it if we had a healthy Dean, Zyon, AWJ, Tykee, and Whitehead from week 13-21. Even just 4 weeks to gell before a healthy run would've been huge.
A healthier overall season even better, but now we're doing all kinds of what ifs. Well we know the answer to "what if they're all limpy, at high reinjury risk, and played 14 snaps together?" and its not a good answer.

Hey, I call it how I see it too. And I really thought we had all the makings of a plucky playoff run. All the match ups were falling into place.
I was more worried about Rams and Vikings. And honestly, we were a bad snap away from finding out.
