Bucs at Colts gameday thread
Re: Bucs at Colts gameday thread
It's a Todd Bowles special.
We run a 5-2, and our Edges are so bad at dropping deeper to respect vertical threats.
The Colts have been watching tape. Great call by them.

Re: Bucs at Colts gameday thread
It seems like about half the time our Edges are playing Flat the other team is running a Wheel with a TE or an RB and (predictably) our Edge players have no clue that they're supposed to carry that vert.
Can we just stop all of the Edge players covering Flat? If you're going to drop them, just have them drop to Seam/Curl. They cannot cover Flat in Zone. The experiment has failed us catastrophically about 6 times this year.

Re: Bucs at Colts gameday thread
I have to say this season makes me think our coaching staff is not all that it is hyped up to be. In particular, the defense.
Re: Bucs at Colts gameday thread
Winfield doesn't know the safety is responsible for the deepest man especially the post route? Wow. Thought he had a higher football IQ.
Re: Bucs at Colts gameday thread
He got sucked up by the eyecandy of the crosser that went across his face. He shoulda known better, but even good players can get fooled when the opposing team is throwing mess at them to try to get them to misstep.

Who is this color guy? He’s pretty good. Vastly superior to cigar smoking, hungover sounding, get him a damn glass of water Tony Romo, anyway.

Thanks. What we were all screaming about earlier on the Colts’ score he promptly broke down after the commercial break, and then pointed out how Gronk cleared out LB freeing up a passing lane was another way of executing that technique was top shelf commentary.Rocker wrote: ↑Sun Nov 28, 2021 2:23 pmPanthers legend, Greg Olsen.CantonJester wrote: ↑Sun Nov 28, 2021 2:22 pm Who is this color guy? I dunno. I used to suffer poor commentary back in the day. But now that I no longer participate in fantasy football, I guess words matter more.

Credited the colts for a great play design, returning the favor for the good guys.
Good game.

The first pass of the game hit him in the hand and he didn't even look for the ball.
Tom Brady, for all his great qualities, has a documented history of people getting on his shit-list. If your head isn't in the game or your drop a gimme, he will ignore you for the foreseeable future. Both the Mannings did the same, Rodgers does as well.

Re: Bucs at Colts gameday thread
Also, the Colts are playing alot two-deep and Cover-2, stopping the deep ball. Hence why Gronk splitting the seam between the safties and Lombardi Lenny on dumpoffs are getting the majority of the targets.

Re: Bucs at Colts gameday thread
Such a boneheaded call.
3rd and 15 and we're playing Man against a QB who can extend plays and is known for picking up chunks.
How about drop 8 and play Zone and left JTS and Barrett and Suh try to make a play?

Re: Bucs at Colts gameday thread
This defensive intensity reminds me of Raheem's last year here.
