Rule of thumb: You can have a fracture without a dislocation but its next to impossible to have a dislocation without a fracture. Godwin 100% had a fracture/dislocation and from the looks of it Warner did too.Sooner06 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 15, 2025 8:57 pmBucsNBills wrote: ↑Wed Oct 15, 2025 8:22 pm Didn't Warner suffer the same type of injury Godwin is still recovering from?
Similar, from what I understand anyway, but Warner actually suffered a fracture along with the dislocation. Iirc, Godwin just dislocated his ankle?

Thx. Never actually dislocated my ankle. Sprained them multiple times, but never broken, so I'm in unfamiliar waters here. Also, one of the TV guys intimated that Warner's injury was somehow more serious than Godwin's during the broadcast, and I took that to mean that the more serious bit had to do with the fracture.

During the broadcast?? As in when it happened on Sunday? I'd love to know how they came to that conclusion without so much as an Xray.Sooner06 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 15, 2025 9:28 pm

Sorry, miswrote that. Not during the game broadcast. During a post-game show. My bad. Watching my Blues for the first time this season, and I got over-stimulated for a sec.

So after the game without so much as xray results?

Re: *OFFICIAL* NFL 2025 season Thread (teams other than our Bucs)
Dunno about the actual X-ray results. Was listening more than watching at the time. It was one of those SF post-game show on YT. i like to hear the opposing POV sometimes after a game, so I clicked on it. One of the hosts(?) made the comment that the injury was similar to Godwin's, then said something about it being worse than Godwin's, and a couple minutes later the other guy played a clip where coach Shanahan said, "it was broken and dislocated," which was when the first guy said something about it being worse.
Actually, I remember now that i watched the show yesterday, not right after the game. So they probably had the X-ray results by then, since Shanahan actually said that it was broken.

But no MRI. You aren't getting MRI results in a matter of hours. Especially if they can't be confirmed by a radiologist. That didn't happen until they got back to California.Sooner06 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 15, 2025 10:16 pm

Point is I wouldn't take any type of diagnosis made hours after the injury very seriously.

Eh, you're probably right. Not like those two guys were in the medical field anyway, just a couple of football heads. The only thing that really stuck with me was the video clip they played of coach Shanahan saying that Warner dislocated and broke his ankle, and that his season was over. And that he looked and sounded upset. Which, i mean, obviously he would be. Without Warner, SF's season might be over as well.

If it was Niners fan podcaster reporting this, it was much worse. It was their player

I'm with Aaron here. You never see QBs get tackled like this in celebration. And he's 41 and not too far removed from a torn achilles. Stupid by Jones.

Yeah not sure what Jones was thinking. Unless he actually tripped or something, taking down your geriatric QB hard to the ground from behind is probably not a great idea.
It actually looks like Rodgers may have jammed his wrist/hand into the ground and was in pain a bit as he got to his feet and crashed out.

They certainly do look great vs the Geno Smith led 2 and 4 Raiders.

As usual Eagles Offense starts great with scripted plays and then cannot do Jack shit with the most expensive offensive roster in history of NFL.
