I accept a wager that @ATrain and I would agree upon. But as I stated she"d never take one.
So you won't. And lugz won't.

Wanna place a wager?
Loser leaves the board forever.
Would a tie result in both leaving? One can only hope.

The Jets are awful. Had it not been for a broken play and horrendous Jaguar defense allowing a freak 51yd run by rookie QB Zach Wilson and then a KO return for a TD by Berrios the Jets would've lost to a terrible Jaguars team.

That game was hard to watch.

Wilson has arm talent, but he's very inaccurate and has shitty receivers. He'll throw a few balls to Bucs defenders.

As long as Brady plays and the Oline is intact this game shouldn't be close.

A tie and both show up to Pete’s house in perfectly disguised Cross Dressings.

Then film it and we have “Three Buc Haters Playing Doctor”.

No you don't get it. As I said I'd do a wager agreed upon by @ATrain and myself. Not you. You decided to include yourself here, I suppose because you have nothing else to do. You're not as important as you think you are here, kiddo. Go back to making idle threats on buczone.

No, I made a tongue in cheek reply to @ATrain asking if he'd care to make a wager. I wasn't actually expecting him to make one. He didn't really believe the position he took there, saying we were going to lose to the Jets.

Probably my fault but @nybf saw the door cracked and decided to bust in with this bet. If ATrain actually wanted to wager I'd bargain. But it shouldn't have gotten this far.

Isn't it kind of weird that neither Leftwich or Bowles was named temp HC in place of Arians due to COVID?

I don't think so. Harold Goodwin is the Assistant Head Coach meaning he's in line to stand on the sidelines doing not much and allowing the coordinators to coordinate.

No, considering both have their own duties, why add on, as, according to you, neither could walk out of a one-way door. Besides, the guy who is stepping in has been with BA for a hundred years, knows what/how he works the games, and will let the two coordinators coordinate.
Push the damned button already!

Kind of the reason you have an "assistant head coach".

Yeah, Harold Godwin doesn't really have a ton to do compared to Leftwich and especially Bowles. I mean he's the "run game coordinator" which is kind of a unique title. Most teams just have their OC/playcaller 'coordinate the run game'.

But Godwin is a veteran assistant coach in the NFL and has been working under BA since 2007. The Bucs already have a dedicated Oline coach in Joe Gilbert, and he even has an assistant in AQ Shipley so it makes sense for Coach Godwin to take on this role while BA is dealing w/ Covid.

Rest easy folks, its basically a bye week.

Tons of injuries & people on Covid list... we're playing the Jets. I think that as long as we have 35 players dress, even without coaches, the Bucs should win 37-10.

Does that mean you think the Jets will win Sunday? Or is this you being a contrarian for the sake of it? Because we already have one of those here.

I think we have a couple male cheerleaders this season as well who could suit up. But then it's closer a game.

Just keeping the Bucs within the context of this season. None of us thought the Redskins would beat us, and that same attitude is going on with the Jets. Of COURSE the Jets shouldn't beat us. The only loss we have on our record that we have any business having is the Rams loss.

I think we'll win, but give how uneven the team has been overall coupled with all our injuries and now COVID ravaging the roster, if we have another stupid loss to a team like the Jets, I won't be that shocked.

Worst DVOA defense in the league. Despite no Mike, we should put it on them. Anything under 4 TDs would be a surprise.

This is an opportunity for Gronk to shake off what’s taken hold off him. This has been the sort of season I was expecting last year from him; completely uneven (he went from playing the best football in the league to MIA due to injury to meh to possibly the worst play of his career) with availability issues.

They’re bad on offense, but we’re down our 2nd and 3rd CB, our ILB HoFer (who was playing at a hugely high level), and 2 of our top 3 Edge players. And unclear if Winfield plays.

My guess is they get 3 scores in whatever configuration (probably 17ish).

I'm less worried about Mike's COVID than I am about his hamstring. The former should be okay (no hospitalized cases among NFL players to my knowledge), the latter can be reinjured at the drop of a hat.
Hamstring and ankle are his only injury designations for his entire career - right?
In order:
groin pull
concussion
groin pull
abdomen muscle sprain
hamstring pull
hamstring pull
ankle sprain
knee strain
hamstring pull

I am leaning towards a better defensive effort from the Buccaneers. I think the Jets get 9 to 13 points total.
