There's a lot of good OL in the 20-30 range in this draft. I'd love to pick a guy for depth and future take over, inside or out.

With the moves we've made so far, the smart money is on a defensive lineman right now. We've addressed nearly everything else short term. And I think we're very much about the short term ATM.

I'd say we're definitely going to be open for business on a trade-down also. With only 5 picks, if we could turn #27 into an extra second and third, or something similar, I think we're going to be listening. Depth is the one thing you can't really fake.

Looking at the draft positions, unless you are willing to lose the 5th year option and our 4th, I can't see it happening based upon draft positions of other teams. 7ths are valueless, and we have no 5th or 6th.

The other option dropping to the middle of round 2, which I wouldn't want to drop that far for our 1st pick that's probably going to have to start. You're MJW so you would rather have trade our 1st rounder for a boatload of 3rd and 4th rounders (based on some of your mock drafts).

Signed contracts can be voided, team could lose picks, fines, etc...there's a number of potential punishments. I don't think there's any chance we won't make it. This isn't uncommon for teams to be pushing to the final min, especially if we are trying to get Godwin to commit.

I am sure the $5 million fine is the first one. The others are if they are repeat offenders. Also they can only offer deals to free agents that will not put them over the cap at this point. Those contracts would be voided if submitted.
