Damn Jags, keep resetting the WR Market!
Re: Free Agency Frenzy Thread
But, but, that whiny Rogers guy wanted to be the highest paid player, by far, and now they made a fella with four legs and no hands his financial equal! Oh the inhumanity!!!
Push the damned button already!

Bills also giving former Bucs’ TE OJ Howard a one-year, $3.5 million deal worth up to $5 million, per source.

Raiders released Carl Nassib.
Wouldn’t mind having him back to relieve Nelson once in a while.
EDIT: Didn’t see that this had already been posted.

Re: Free Agency Frenzy Thread
It's also probably something like 2yrd/$30mil with a lot of fluff.

Good, The road to the super bowl got easier for the Bucs, Von Miller to Bills
We still have to beat nemesis Rams in playoff. I believe we’re 0-3 against them
1979 9-0
1999 11-6 damn Ricky!
2021 30-27. damn Bowles!

My mood and outlook on this team could not be more different than a week ago. Fun times.

We need a running back then we all set..

I forget for a second that this isn’t the NHL. Yeah, he isn’t going to see anywhere near 120 million.
Re: Free Agency Frenzy Thread
LB Myles Jack is expected to sign a two-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, per sources.
Good pick up by the Steelers

I think Carolina is out of Watson sweepstakesAtlanta is reported to be meeting with five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Jarvis Landry. Who paired with Kyle Pitts would make for a nice duo in the passing game. Though there are still a lot of holes on the Falcons’ roster.

Has Baltimore signed AB yet? The cat seems to think he can pick his landing spot, all dressed up in Raven’s gear on his IG.

Does AB seem like a Jon Harbaugh guy? Even remotely?
I have a hard time seeing that even with Lamar Jackson as QB.

Why are the Bucs linked to Mathieu? Rumor mills are the worst

Because he played under Arians & Bowles his 1st 4 years in the league(2 under Bowles), he's a FA, our starting safety just signed with the Jets. Rumor mills would be all over that.Swashbuckler wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 8:50 pm Why are the Bucs linked to Mathieu? Rumor mills are the worst

Kitchen table looks like the floor of a Texas Roadhouse.
Re: Free Agency Frenzy Thread
Looking at the draft positions, unless you are willing to lose the 5th year option and our 4th, I can't see it happening based upon draft positions of other teams. 7ths are valueless, and we have no 5th or 6th.MJW wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 12:03 amWith the moves we've made so far, the smart money is on a defensive lineman right now. We've addressed nearly everything else short term. And I think we're very much about the short term ATM.
I'd say we're definitely going to be open for business on a trade-down also. With only 5 picks, if we could turn #27 into an extra second and third, or something similar, I think we're going to be listening. Depth is the one thing you can't really fake.
The other option dropping to the middle of round 2, which I wouldn't want to drop that far for our 1st pick that's probably going to have to start. You're MJW so you would rather have trade our 1st rounder for a boatload of 3rd and 4th rounders (based on some of your mock drafts).

Re: Free Agency Frenzy Thread
I am sure the $5 million fine is the first one. The others are if they are repeat offenders. Also they can only offer deals to free agents that will not put them over the cap at this point. Those contracts would be voided if submitted.uscbucsfan wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 3:38 pmSigned contracts can be voided, team could lose picks, fines, etc...there's a number of potential punishments. I don't think there's any chance we won't make it. This isn't uncommon for teams to be pushing to the final min, especially if we are trying to get Godwin to commit.Grahamburn wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 3:37 pm What happens if they don't make it? Yeah but he's gotta be paid. Why would he do us a favor to chase a ring like that? That's what has me saying it sucksKing Bootz wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 8:53 pmBecause he played under Arians & Bowles his 1st 4 years in the league(2 under Bowles), he's a FA, our starting safety just signed with the Jets.
