Him and Trey Smith in the running game are monsters. Trey is straight bestial if he can get going forward.

It's a miracle how Chiefs held Lions to only 17 so far. Lions offense has a snowball effect when they get in rhythm.

Gotten a little lucky. for whatever reason, DET went away from the PA for a minute.

Now we'll see what they do now that time is becoming a factor and they're down 10. But they're probably going to try and pass more which should play right into Spags' hands.

Lions were not good at all tonight. They will be eager to get back on track next week.

If the Lions lose, the Bucs are the best team in the NFC. The road to the Super Bowl goes through Tampa Bay!

He’s been good this season so far. Unfortunate he had to take the route he did to find his playmaking ability again.

He'd be as good as Mayfield on this team. Just ask @CannonFire.
Only one of those two prior to this year, ever got MVP votes, so.....

Pretty decent considering how bad he's been this season. Those splash plays keep him a job...his run and coverage film is pretty awful.

He had a 27 PFF score against the Colts and he's rated the 42nd LB in the NFL according to them.

I don't think he's a franchise QB. I think he's equal to the majority of his peers. I wouldn't pay him $40/$50/$60M+ AAV. I'm fine with $30, it can be for 10 years, it can be all guaranteed. Is that eating crow?

So you don't think the QB arguably playing the best in the NFL and is 30 years old is a franchise QB?

Ok...you're still stubborn and lost.

Why did you never tell us your alternative plan at QB after not paying Baker?

No it’s not. Not at all.

Give us something realistic with a chance of happening. Baker is so similar to any number of his peers. So weird you can’t put forth a single name

Can we go back in time and do what I suggest a year and a half ago? Or do I need to go along with decisions that were made by someone else who I didn't agree with?

After 2023 it was Fields, Wilson, or Gardner Minshew and draft someone. Can you imagine?

But, then Licht apparently made a “mistake” signing Baker to a 3 year $100M deal, which in reality looks like the best non-rookie contract in the NFL.

You’re hilarious

So convinced you’re right but literally can’t put your name to a single plan at QB that isn’t Baker. Your only idea is to find a way pay him half of what his AAV should be. You can’t name a single other QB despite being resolute in your conviction that he is no better than 15+ others around the league.

Take the fucking L man, this is some weak shit.

I’ve determined it’s more of a “don’t pay a QB unless they’ve been to a Championship Game” team building philosophy moreso than a hate on Baker situation. It’s just that this particular team building philosophy is really freaking dumb and not based in reality.

Ok, so I have to deal with Licht's decisions? That's what you're telling me? Fine.

Mayfield is great right? He's top 5? What team wouldn't give up at least a first round pick for him? Give me a list of teams would trade for him.

Also, tell me why Mayfield wouldn't take the highest guaranteed contract in the NFL.

Yes, when you become the GM of a team you don’t get a mulligan on all the contracts the other guy handed out.

Sure, trade him. Assume you can get the #1 overall pick. Who are you taking? Why do I need to walk you through every step of this? You seem to have no conviction at all

What a dumb starting point for an argument. I could list all the teams that need a QB and then you just come back and say "No they wouldn't"...there's no way to prove that.

The fact is Baker, through 6 weeks, is one of, if not the best QB in the entire NFL and he's doing it with a bunch of backups.

He threw 42 TDs last year taking us the the playoffs and he's better this year.

If you are still questioning him, it's an issue with you. It makes you look dumb. It's like people saying Mahomes, Lamar, or Allen aren't good QBs...there's too much evidence to the contrary.
