I am not sold on Sherrone Moore, just as I wasn't last year or the year prior. When he was interim coach during the season we won the Natty, the team was barely functional with the exact same personnel. Last year, the offense was just as terrible.Phantom wrote: ↑Sun Sep 07, 2025 8:08 am Good game @Sooner06
Underwood obviously is not ready yet. He has a good arm, but most of his throws are inaccurate. Hopefully, that can be fixed for the next game and beyond.
I’m still not sure about Moore. He did great in the last three games but he lacks the emotional
What do you think @Cheb
He's a former offensive coordinator who cannot coordinate an offense. And while I am run-first coach myself, you HAVE to have some passing concepts that you've workshopped and repped and feel good about to have some semblance of offensive balance. We cannot play 1950s football and win consistently.
Moore is not a fantastic recruiter (Underwood came to Michigan over LSU for money, not scheme or loyalty), he's not a great program builder, not a scheme guru on either side of the ball, a dead fish on gamedays. One must ask, what is Sherrone Moore actually good at? Calling runs into loaded boxes isn't an in demand skill.
We've made our bed and I suspect we will continue to lay in it for the remainder of the season, but I am deeply unimpressed with his head coaching tenure.
Though, to his credit, we DID beat Ohio State last season, though I feel that was due to the Buckeyes trying to beat us at our own game by slamming the ball repeatedly into our premier pair of DTs instead of actually playing to their strengths, so imo they beat themselves more than we beat them, but I digress.
