Who do you think is better than Ohtani?Phantom wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 9:36 pmAgain,Is he really the best player? I don't think so, regardless of what you think. Everyone enlisted their opinion, including mine.. I'm done with your bullshit. Nothing has changed. Per usualuscbucsfan1 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 8:29 pm
Per usual, you have nothing of merit to back up your random, drive-by post.
You called him average. He's been the definition of excellent. He has 2 MVPs, something only 18 other players have done in the history of the game and he's not even 30.
The whole betting thing doesn't absolve you of a ridiculous take that you didn't even try to back it with any stats, logic, or anything.
If you said no player is worth that much, that's a valid opinion, but in no universe has he been average to this point in his career.
It's crazy that you quoted me after all this time...still with nothing of substance.
Edit: This is not a discussion about Ohtani betting. I watched him play in Atlanta and St. Petersburg. Hsve you? I am not impressed with his skills. As a pitcher? MEH
cool, He's a freak athlete!

Re: Shohei Ohtani
Shohei is likely to be the only player in history with a 50/50 season...he's doing so while recovering from Tommy John's surgery.

This guy needs to calm down. Holy shit what a legend
Re: Shohei Ohtani
Ohtani is a mutant freak. What the hell is going on? Whew!!!!
Re: Shohei Ohtani
Ohtani in 2025 (55 games remaining):
38 HRs (2nd in MLB)
73 RBIs (10th in MLB) (he bats leadoff lol)
1.001 OPS (2nd in MLB)
68 walks (6th in MLB)
All while getting ready to start pitching again.
Can someone remind him how overrated he is?!?

Re: Shohei Ohtani
Since signing with the Dodgers he's won an MVP, World Series, 50/50 and he is almost a lock for a 2nd MVP.

How many SB rings does he have?
Shohei got no hey rings, like a typical loser.

Re: Shohei Ohtani
I don't really follow baseball. I just never got into it. Even I know that Ohtani is approaching Ruthian numbers. Baseball is a sport that has 2 very unique and incredibly difficult skills. One is hitting, it's a rare person that has the vision and bat speed to track get around on 100 fastballs and crazy curves. It's even rarer for that person to have the raw power to send it out of the park.
The other skill is being able to throw 90+ miles an hour, make it curve and dance, and still have the command and accuracy to put it anywhere you want in a small strike zone.
Then imagine how rare it is for a guy to have both skills while being an S tier raw athlete.
It's pretty much Babe Ruth and Shohei Ohtani.
