I'm less worried about Mike's COVID than I am about his hamstring. The former should be okay (no hospitalized cases among NFL players to my knowledge), the latter can be reinjured at the drop of a hat.

Re: Week 17 2021 Bucs @ Jets Discussion
Hamstring and ankle are his only injury designations for his entire career - right?

It might be easier for you to use Google and avoid being made an ass of every time you are wrong.King Bootz wrote: ↑Mon Dec 27, 2021 6:25 pmOh oh that's how it works? Just for NFL players, right? Has nothing to do with the Bucs player that had it BEFORE the Saints game?
The incubation period for Covid is typically 5.6 days but ranges from 2 to 14 days.

Love to see every thread derailed by the same two fucking clowns
Re: Week 17 2021 Bucs @ Jets Discussion
I vaguely remembered one case pre-vaccine of a player being hospitalized but when I googled it I found that Dakota Dozier was vaccinated and sent to the hospital due to difficulty breathing. This was back on November 10th. Regardless I agree with you and I am more concerned with the hamstring injury. This late in the season it is not will he be 100% healthy but how much will the injury impact his play. The team has a lot of injuries right now and having players get more healthy would be nice.

With LVD out we will have no one on defense that represented us in the 2017 Jet game.

Inactive is what it says.

Good find Google Man.
Can’t believe this is now our THIRD time through the cycle since we let Geno Smith win his debut against our shiny new Revis. After probably Lavonte’s worst moment as a Buc. Before that game was the last time I ever thought Freeman might have a shot as an NFL QB.
Re: Week 17 2021 Bucs @ Jets Discussion
Because of all the injuries, game planning, scheme, blah, blah, blah.
We are real close to be the #4 scoring defense in the league.

@mdb1958 is crazy but from my experience he's rarely wrong. Somehow some way he's right.

Name the only two teams undefeated in non-conference games.
Re: Week 17 2021 Bucs @ Jets Discussion
How many points you have scored
How many points you have allowed
We are 9th in how many we have allowed but we are only 8 points away from being 4th.
The top three do not look reachable but #4 could be easy.
Correction -8 points!

We were 8th last year.

Another tidbit although I did not keep close track of it.
I know we were allowing opposing QB's 70% completion range, we now have them down around 65%.

Re: Week 17 2021 Bucs @ Jets Discussion
I suspect the position a player plays makes quite a bit of difference. Seems to me a QB doesn't normally spend a great deal of time sprinting and twisting while driving around/thru a big mother trying to push him away. Seems likely Shaq would put quite a bit more strain on the old hinges than Aaron Jones or Joe Flacco.Pirate Life wrote: ↑Mon Dec 27, 2021 1:20 pmMCL recovery times depends on how severe the sprain is and the position played. Joe Flacco missed zero games with an MCL sprain about 7 or 8 years ago. Earlier this season Aaron Jones only missed two weeks with his, so entirely possible Barrett could be back by the playoffs if he has a grade I sprain.King Bootz wrote: ↑Mon Dec 27, 2021 12:36 pm Bottom line though, Shaq ain't coming back from a sprained ACL in 3 weeks. Not happening.
This sports medicine site shows it can be anywhere from a few days to eight weeks depending on the severity of the sprain.

So could be back even with a grade IIt can take anywhere from a few days to 8 weeks for an MCL injury to heal and a person to return to normal activities and sports. Generally, the timeline is determined by the severity of the injury, although this is not true for every person.
Grade I (sprain or overstretched) tears will typically heal within a few days to a week and a half
Grade II (partial or incomplete) tears may take 2 to 4 weeks to heal
Grade III (full) tears can take 4 to 8 weeks to heal

Flagged for pushing Gino after he was out of bounds on a scramble to keep a drive alive. Resulted in fg that won the game for them. As I recall.

^^^This
Hamstrings need another week or two AFTER they feel fine to truly be fine. I don't want Evans anywhere near this thing.

What an ugly series record:
New York Jets lead series 10-2-0
Points Scored: New York Jets 301, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 177
