2022 opponents
2022 opponents
Well that Steeler game is a must see for me and my dad.
Re: 2022 opponents
Definitely a tough looking schedule. We could have a ton of change this off-season as well.

Re: 2022 opponents
Crazy that the Bucs and Chiefs will end up playing three meaningful games against each other in Tampa over the course of three years as out of conference opponents.
Re: 2022 opponents
CJ Stroud, welcome to Tampa!
Re: 2022 opponents
The one thing I want to note:
We don’t know what half of these teams will look like.
The Pack could lose ARod.
The Steelers will certainly look different with a new QB. Seattle could potentially deal Russell Wilson for a king’s ransom.
Cleveland could move on from Baker and look different as well.
Some of these teams could have top 10 picks still. Which is crazy given their 2021 records.

Re: 2022 opponents
So, they alternate 9-8 home vs 8-9 away?
Re: 2022 opponents
My knowledge of division 3 linemen isn’t enough to keep up with Mdb. I’d have a stroke trying to understand what he was saying too.

It will be interesting to see how things rotate around this off-season.

Murderers row
Re: 2022 opponents
The whole AFC north/NFC west is a killer combo for games…
The Falcons and Panthers have to play most of this schedule too… imagine how their fans feel.

Could potentially see 9 games against teams with new QBs. Could see the rest of the division with new QBs if Ryan retires, could see Wilson with the Saints instead of Seattle. I don't think Carolina goes with either Cam or Darnold next season either. Cleveland, Seattle and Pittsburgh likely have new QBs as well. Hell, possibly the 49ers too and make it 10.

Re: 2022 opponents
Looks like a potentially very easy schedule. Atl and Carolina will still suck. Regardless of who's on the Saints, that's two losses. NFC West? Seattle stinks, SF is mediocre at best, AZ is decent, and LA is really good. Green Bay with no Rodgers or Adams? LOL, not scared there. AFC North? Cincy will be really good, but Baltimore isn't anything special, Pittsburgh and Cleveland will stink. Dallas should be good again.
The only games that will be tough are Cincy, Dallas, and both NO games. Other than that, the rest shouldn't be that much of a struggle.

Re: 2022 opponents
If we lose the core this offseason(Brady, Gronk, AB, Arians, Godwin, etc) then that'd be a fun schedule that'd probably get us the #1 overall pick in 2023 lol.
Re: 2022 opponents
Possible.
If Brady rides off into the sunset, I expect regression to our historical mean in a big way after an enormous amount of roster turnover.
Re: 2022 opponents
Re: 2022 opponents
I just can't see it, unless Brady decides he's done, which it really doesn't sound like he's remotely ready to do.
I would bet serious money we enter 2022 with Arians, Brady, and most of our key free agents. Can't say what'll happen with the Coordinators. But we have good candidates in-house if they do leave.
I just don't get the impression at all this is a Last Dance. I think we'll bring back who we can, lean a little harder on the 2021 class, and try to squeeze out one more Ring.
The reckoning is coming in 2023, though. I feel fairly confident in that. Way too much money to pay out, and frankly, not confident Brady will have a ton left after another 20-25 games.

Re: 2022 opponents
After a few recent quotes I actually think there is a serious chance this is Brady’s last run. If we lose Godwin and several of pieces it will definitely be his last run.MJW wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 12:31 amI just can't see it, unless Brady decides he's done, which it really doesn't sound like he's remotely ready to do.

That's not what that this SI article Sep 29, 2021 says. He is planning to play next year and then he will see. Maybe one or perhaps two more years.Primeminister wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 1:40 pmAfter a few recent quotes I actually think there is a serious chance this is Brady’s last run. As far as I could find, that was the latest interview where he was asking about retirement.
Re: 2022 opponents
Haven’t seen anything to suggest this unless Gisele has been tired of him coming home a little beat up or sore. Tom’s looked competitive all season. The fact he reacted the way he did against the Saints shows me he’s got the fire stillPrimeminister wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 1:40 pmAfter a few recent quotes I actually think there is a serious chance this is Brady’s last run. In him. You think he really wants to end his career going 0-4 against a team, even if he were to go 2-0 in the postseason. I can’t see him retiring.

He said in a radio interview that he would never do a farewell tour and wouldn't announce his retirement until its time. He also said in a different interview that it's getting more difficult to be away from his kids and on the road.kaimaru wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 9:49 pmThat's not what that this SI article Sep 29, 2021 says. This season appears to have taken a toll, going from he'll play to 50 to talking like this.

That’s the vibe I’ve gotten. He mentioned how he is missing his son’s football games and other important things due to his career.uscbucsfan wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 6:14 amHe said in a radio interview that he would never do a farewell tour and wouldn't announce his retirement until its time. Re: 2022 opponents
Tom is not going to retire if there's any football left in his body. This is one thing I'm certain of. He's been saying for years and years that there's NOTHING he enjoys like he enjoys being an NFL quarterback, and he'll play until he can't play anymore.

Re: 2022 opponents
His desire to actually be there for his sons right now is starting to win out and I can’t blame him. I’ve never heard Tom sound closer to retirement than now. Before now Brady always sounded defiant about continuing to play. Now he sounds like it’s costing him something & that something might be worth more than his love for the game.
Re: 2022 opponents
Yeah, that's true. Kids can change your priorities quickly. I can't argue.Primeminister wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 6:47 amHis desire to actually be there for his sons right now is starting to win out and I can’t blame him. I'd still be shocked if this is it. He's playing too well, and the team's odds in 2022 look to be excellent again. Also, Tom is - in his own quiet way - a brilliant self-promoter. I can't imagine he'd eschew the opportunity to do a "last hurrah" tour of sorts. Lotta NFTs and whatnot to be sold.

Re: 2022 opponents
I won't pretend to know how long a 44 year old playing at a high level intends to play. That said,, he has an obligation to his children and family and that's time you do not get back. He's made it very clear that when he retires it won't be because his body or heart is out of it. It'll be because of his family and wanting to be more present in their lives. Especially his son he's co-parenting.Primeminister wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 6:47 amHis desire to actually be there for his sons right now is starting to win out and I can’t blame him. Re: 2022 opponents
I think you hit the nail on the head. Unlike many fathers who have no choice Brady has all the money, his family needs so he has the luxury of being able to devote more time to his children and family. I would imagine his non-playing revenue is higher than his playing salary as well. Given all that, I would not be surprised if he decides to hang up the cleats or trade them in for a less taxing job. Could you imagine Brady on Monday Night Football? The man brought the Buccaneers another Lombardi and might bring a third this season. At this point, his only reason to play would be for the love of the game and a desire to set benchmarks higher so they stay unbroken longer.Primeminister wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 6:47 amHis desire to actually be there for his sons right now is starting to win out and I can’t blame him.
