I really like the way you are thinking about this.

I have coached many players just like Ke'Shawn Vaughn, who you can see the flashes in practice and limited game touches, but they shoot themselves in the foot on occasion because they are trying to force plays and be all-stars. Just gotta settle them down, get them their reps, and put them into positions to succeed.

I have confidence he'll come around. He already is heading that direction.

I think Vaughn will be a contributor going forward as well. I think he might be a bit like Ronde Barber. A large number of people did not like Barber's play early on but he just took time to mature. Solid all-around DB.

I wouldn't say that he's a lock to be a contributor in future, but games like this bode very very well for him moving forward.
