If only one of them you have to bring Godwin back. Godwin has more long term upside and no off-field issues.CamCam wrote: ↑Sun Dec 12, 2021 5:35 pmDid Godwin ever sign a contract? if so hes a FA next season right? if so who comes back AB or GodwinCheb wrote: ↑Sun Dec 12, 2021 5:31 pm
AB can get open in a phonebooth. Currently we only have one guy who can do that in Godwin, hence why he's getting fed so many touches. If/when AB is back on the squad, then we can spread around those touches a bit.
Moreover, getting AB back puts a TON of stress on the other team's third corner, a borderline backup who has to cover either Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, or Antonio Brown. Poor bastard.

I've honestly never heard anything bad about Godwin but he reminds me of AB when he plays minus the deep plays, he doesn't seem like much of a burnerPrimeminister wrote: ↑Sun Dec 12, 2021 5:37 pmIf only one of them you have to bring Godwin back. There are plenty who disagree with paying Godwin around 20 million, but he's so important to this offense.Primeminister wrote: ↑Sun Dec 12, 2021 5:37 pmIf only one of them you have to bring Godwin back. Godwin has more long term upside and no off-field issues.

Re: Buffalo Bills @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official Game Day Thread- 12/12/21
He's playing on the franchise tag. I don't think that he wants to leave, but we are going to have some difficult decisions to make with cap space this upcoming year. We have a boatload of upcoming free agents and not enough money to pay them all their market value.CamCam wrote: ↑Sun Dec 12, 2021 5:35 pmDid Godwin ever sign a contract? if so hes a FA next season right? if so who comes back AB or GodwinCheb wrote: ↑Sun Dec 12, 2021 5:31 pm

I think alot of it will depend on how the season ends. If we win the Superbowl, which is a non-zero possibility, I could see Tom retiring and the band breaking up. But if we end the year well and Tom comes back, I could see people taking team-friendly deals to run it back again.
I dunno. While not signing Godwin could pay for probably three or four other guys, Godwin is arguably among the best receivers in the league and he would be the prize of the free agent market.
We'll see.

I think we win today and of course our offense is great. But Buffalo is about as fundamentally sound of a defense as you'll see in football. We've had to be perfect today but they know what they are doing.

They took a timeout after Brady called "That's your mike, that's your wheel," lol

32 plays on our last three drives, all of which were scoring drives.

Wait, I thought Bills were a playoff team?
Re: Buffalo Bills @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official Game Day Thread- 12/12/21
Didn't brady say he wants to play till 50? I think it takes an ugly bad season for brady to retire. If the bucs win another superbowl there's no way hes hanging his hat with how hes playingCheb wrote: ↑Sun Dec 12, 2021 5:38 pmHe's playing on the franchise tag. No it's true, they took a time out after that. Whether you mean it was because of that is a different story and a fair point.
Re: Buffalo Bills @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official Game Day Thread- 12/12/21
We know the Bills are coming out throwing the ball after using all those timeouts. Bucs D needs to be ready.
Don't tread on me

This game is a prime example of how important home field advantage is to us.

This could very well be the most succinct and correct statement ever uttered on this board. Godwin can’t ever see free agency.Primeminister wrote: ↑Sun Dec 12, 2021 5:37 pmIf only one of them you have to bring Godwin back. Godwin has more long term upside and no off-field issues.

We are just enjoying the run.
Re: Buffalo Bills @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official Game Day Thread- 12/12/21
Ok, lets break this down logically.
Things happened in order.
1) He called it out
2) Play happened
3) They called time out
Also going back to my second sentence, "Whether you mean it was because of that is a different story and a fair point."
Which is also true. So stating I was wrong, is clearly wrong.

What a dumb argument.
