Bucs need to draft Skattebo from ASU. Tailback. He’s the perfect thunder to the lightning of White/Tucker.

Saturday is a day for college football and looking at prospective draftees.
A guy who I am liking alot as a second day prospect is Antwaun Powell-Ryland, Edge out of Virginia Tech. He's tied for the most sacks in the country coming into today. 6'3", 250lb, plays bullyball and can stack and flow his moves well. Looks like an OLB prospect that Bowles would enjoy. Isn't going to tear up the combine probably, don't care, he looks like a dude.

There's a bunch that should be looked at very closely.Cheb wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 7:55 pm Saturday is a day for college football and looking at prospective draftees.

This is what we need from a pass rusher. Someone with more than one tool in his box of moves. With Bowles, we've been focused on versatility in run/pass rush/coverage - not just a straight up pass rusher. Need a defender that's just there to beat the OT and double teams.Cheb wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 7:55 pm Saturday is a day for college football and looking at prospective draftees.

We clearly need WR help.

Complement to Bucky…I should say

We must draft all the defense players next year, regardless.

Can’t really know exactly what the biggest needs are yet… Free agency. Trades. Any major injuries in these hopefully next few games? So on..
Outside of the iLB positions most spots on the defense are set actually.
If Godwin leaves (I think he stays) then WR is a huge need. And, even if he’s here is he 100% ready to go? Mike is in the last year of his deal. McMillan has stepped up, but he’s not a #1.
Does Bredeson return? He’s a free agent. Serviceable so may want to make some money elsewhere making LG a big need.
Trask is a free agent as well. Do they draft a QB?

Are you saying we’re gonna draft a quarterback?! Don’t let Acmillis know Trask is a free agent. LolGrahamburn wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 7:49 amCan’t really know exactly what the biggest needs are yet… Free agency. Trades. Any major injuries in these hopefully next few games? So on..

The standout quarterback from the 2925 draft? Gotta be Cam Ward. End of story.

I think they like Michael Pratt. But, they don’t have anyone else rostered for 2025.Phantom wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 10:10 pmAre you saying we’re gonna draft a quarterback?! Don’t let Acmillis know Trask is a free agent. LolGrahamburn wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 7:49 am

Would you guys be ok with Carson Beck? I kid i kid

Why beat up White's value just to promote Irving? All three bring something to the game.
Re: With their first round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Tampa Bay selects...
We definitely need a cornerback, so we won’t be getting Tracus Hunter. The Bucs will have a good chance to trade up and draft Will Johnson from Michigan. Watch the tape you’ll see why
CB1. Travis Hunter, Colorado.
CB2. Will Johnson, Michigan.
CB3. Benjamin Morrison, Notre Dame.
CB4. Trey Amos, Mississippi.
CB5. Shavon Revel, East Carolina.

My preliminary Bucs mock would be:
- First round - Xavier Woods, S, Notre Dame
- Second round - Kyle Kennard, Edge, South Carolina
- Third round - Barrett Carter, MLB, Clemson
- Fourth round - Domani Jackson, CB, Alabama
I think we are in need of a defensive "get right" draft.

Do we need DT? Check out Graham from Michigan

This guy is an amazing cover corner, first team all-American, and probably a top 5 pick next year. If we suck that bad to get him, I think we'd go for a quarterback because I imagine that Bowles and all his friends lost their jobs and the new regime would want Their Guy.
More realistically... not sure. There's not many good off-ball backers in the draft next season per a casual look at mock drafts for next year, and I think that would be the biggest hole we would need to address. Love the guy, but I would be VERY surprised if LVD plays another year.
It seems the upcoming class is topheavy on defensive linemen, cornerbacks, and wide receivers. I'd be okay with any of those positions, honestly.
What if all of a sudden Jamel Dean gets tough and plays lights out football. Do we think Davis was putting a negative vibe on Dean?
Bows head and sighs.

3. I don't like the idea of trading up. If anything, trade down as you've got multiple holes on this roster. Need help at receiver, linebacker and defensive back.
Re: With their first round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Tampa Bay selects...
He’s a better corner than receiver.
Receivers are a dime a dozen anyways.

WR where the money is though. I get taking that swing first.
