Frank Reich
Dude fucking forgot about having the best running back in the league for 2 1/2 quarters.

Re: Walk the Plank- Colts
So the Bucs have 2 forced fumbles, 2 interceptions, 3 sacks, 4 TFL, 8....8! passes defended, and 7 QB hits but yeah he was ass. Maybe if he had someone other than Desir who was absolute shit all day, then he wouldn't look like he's out coached. It was said before. Bowles let's his corners determine how much cushion and Desir was playing way too far off.
Re: Walk the Plank- Colts
I'll admit it's got to be hard to get stops with these corners but I do blame him for schematic gaffes and there were several today. Giving up 31 points and not getting a statement stop to close the game on the drive they tied it up is pretty bad. They're lucky Wentz sucks. Taylor averaged over 5 yards a pop today too.kaimaru wrote: ↑Sun Nov 28, 2021 8:25 pmSo the Bucs have 2 forced fumbles, 2 interceptions, 3 sacks, 4 TFL, 8....8! passes defended, and 7 QB hits but yeah he was ass. Taylor was something like 4 rushes for 8 yards in the 1st qtr before the Colts realized they'd have a much easier time through the air.
Maybe Reich got antsy and gave up on the run too soon or maybe he avoided the best RB in the game going for 30 yards
It's a good thing for us our defense was able to get to the QB today

Re: Walk the Plank- Colts
Walk The Plank goes to Bucs Special Teams Coach Keith Armstrong. This unit not only spotted the Colts 3 points to start off by shanking that punt and committing a holding penalty on it but also allowed a huge return at the end that gave the Colts a fighting chance when it looked like Tampa had iced the game
Honorable Mention to DC Todd Bowles. Despite the turnovers, the Colts moved the ball at will. If it weren't for the turnovers, this game would've had a much different outcome.

The special teams coach shanked a punt? Why wouldn't that be on Pinion? If you are just naming things that happened during special teams plays it seems weird that you didn't mention the fumble recovery by Scooter. If the random shank was the fault of the coach then the recovery is as well using your logic.

Re: Walk the Plank- Colts
When the unit as a whole plays like shit, then it's on the coach. Not only did Pinon shank the punt but they also got flagged for holding. Basically they spotted the Colts 3 points on that punt. Then they allowed that huge return at the end of the game when it was basically over with.accidentw8ing2happen wrote: ↑Sun Nov 28, 2021 10:03 pmDefense5599 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 28, 2021 8:54 pm Walk The Plank goes to Bucs Special Teams Coach Keith Armstrong. Again...why blame the coach there? They were lined up correctly, no? The players on the field got beat on that return. That was on them. And let's also throw in the What-If I mentioned in another thread. What IF Pinion kicked the ball through the end zone like he's paid to do? Then there'd have been no return at all. It's not like it was fucking windy inside the dome.

I 2nd this(well 3rd, 4th). I don't understand what he was thinking here. Taylor got stronger as the game went on. The most the Colts were down was 7. There final TD drive they rode Taylor basically the entire way and that Colts Oline chewed up our front on the ground.
Reich has to know his team better than this. 6-0 when Taylor has 100+. Winless when he doesn't. And it's because when they aren't using him they use Wentz, which is a proven losing tactic.

All of our Corners specifically in the 2nd quarter.

All the folks here with the "Gronk is done" hot takes from a couple weeks ago b/c he didn't return from having broken ribs quick enough for them.

No doubt the Bucs knew of this stat/trend as well.King Bootz wrote: ↑Mon Nov 29, 2021 10:38 amI 2nd this(well 3rd, 4th). I don't understand what he was thinking here. I thought Frank Reich coached a good game and certainly out coached our side imo. Our players just made more splash plays.
The Colts got absolutely nothing on the ground through the first 20+ minutes of the game. So they opened up the passing game and moved the ball at will through the air.
Takeaways are the only thing that stopped the Colts offense for most of that game. There is no way they get to 24pts at halftime running it.
The sack/fumble can be blamed on Wentz to some degree, but the INT was the correct decision by Wentz (his WR1 in 1v1 vs a Safety) and Pittman just needs to play that ball better so it's an incompletion at worst for his offense. It was an All-Pro play by Winfield Jr for sure, but when you're a 6'4" WR1 for your team you can't let a 5'11" Safety 'Moss' you like that.
Maybe Reich wanted to throw in the 3rd qtr given the immense success they were having and the go back to Taylor on the ground in the 4th. Again, the Colts moved the ball just fine. Bucs just made plays on defense in the 3rd quarter.
Re: Walk the Plank- Colts
Between 3rd and 4th down, the Colts went 7 of 13. And most of those third downs were medium or long. That has to be cleaned up.
Interestingly, in a game where we scored 38 points, we only faced 8 third downs.
