We survived the bye, and all the terrible things that can happen after a weeks worth of rest. Time to start the 2nd half of our season.

The Bucs and the WFT are coming off their bye weeks so both are well-rested. The Bucs last game was the 36-27 loss to the Saints, and the WFT's last game was a 17-10 loss vs the Denver Broncos. Close game throughout until the Broncos scored a TD with 4:27 left in the game.

The Bucs are currently a -9.5 favorite, the O/U is set at 51.5, and FPI gives the Bucs a 77.7% chance of winning the game.

The tiebreaker this week is.....the receiving yards of WR Terry McLaurin. He's averaged 68.6 YPG in his last 5 games.

Thinking high-scoring.

McLaurin gets the Jamel Dean treatment. 40 Yards.

WFT is struggling, though the defense has played slightly better of late. Their secondary is worse than ours, pretty bad linebacker play and an inconsistent front four.

I think the Bucs win, but not as smooth or dominating as we’d like to see.

Looks like I was the only one who didn’t have a great feeling about today and picked WFT to win.

An interesting way to gauge the overall happiness/confidence of this board is through these PTS threads. This board entered this game very confidently. Confidence here does seem to swing like a pendulum after big moments though. If you pick the Giants in next week's thread, you're likely not going to be the only one lol.

On a side note on the overall mood of the board. If you go back to the earlier years series(like 17, 18, and most of 19), you can actually see how depressed this board gets lol. As the year went on, the predictions generally got darker. The number of people picking the other team increases(even in games we could win), as does the number of blowouts(and the size of the blowouts lol). Also, less interest in the board overall.

Yea that's how it's always been in a nutshell. We lose badly, the narrative all week is "we'll get scored on every single drive".

This week was different for me. The news about Godwin’s injured foot was the main reason. We knew we'd be without Gronk & AB. But Gronk on a bum foot? That was enough for me to have doubt.

Plus, Rivera is a good coach. His teams are always prepared, even if they aren't deep on talent. The attention to detail today was what I expected from them.

I don't think I'll feel that way about the Giants. They are a bad team. Jones is a bad QB. Judge is a terrible head coach. I hope we win and will probably predict it that way.

Congrats on being the only one in the room who got it right, Bootz.

Given our gloomy mood, I chose another controversial Brady throw as the centerpiece of your winner's sig. No one should forget that win or lose, we remain the world champions until someone dethrones us or we finish dethroning ourselves.

I hope you like it. X.
