No one has had time to look good yet this year, same reason I'm not saying anything about our draft picks.

Best DL/EDGE on the board wherever we pick.

You can put this in as my vote for every year. In permanent marker.

Had him as my #3 this year. Like Sanders too. Next year is a great class to take a swing if Baker implodes.

My early pick is Harold Perkins, LB, LSU.

Ideally, I would want Will Johnson, CB from Michigan. This guy is an amazing cover corner, first team all-American, and probably a top 5 pick next year. If we suck that bad to get him, I think we'd go for a quarterback because I imagine that Bowles and all his friends lost their jobs and the new regime would want Their Guy.

More realistically... not sure. There's not many good off-ball backers in the draft next season per a casual look at mock drafts for next year, and I think that would be the biggest hole we would need to address. Love the guy, but I would be VERY surprised if LVD plays another year.

It seems the upcoming class is topheavy on defensive linemen, cornerbacks, and wide receivers. I'd be okay with any of those positions, honestly.

What if all of a sudden Jamel Dean gets tough and plays lights out football. Do we think Davis was putting a negative vibe on Dean?

Heck, I want any Michigan cornerback, one of them must be better than what we have right? Zyon McCollum maybe

He’s a physical corner and willing tackler. I don’t know what else there is to say about him.

It seems like a lot of drafts are heavy with wide receivers these days. Are they becoming the new running back? A position where, sure, there will be a handful of elites, but other than that, you just plug and play year after year?

When you change the college game where fifty points a piece get scored to end a game it's a conflict to being ready for the NFL.

Only way I see us 32nd overall is if we move back into the first round. More likely it’ll be somewhere between 10-20. If Baker reverts to his old self, probably top 10 and we go QB. Maybe Jaxson Dart or Dillon Gabriel.

If Baker leads us to a top 10 pick I imagine we give Trask the 2025 season, and go QB after that if needed.

As such, our first round pick will be one of OL/DL/CB/WR.

I think in 10 months, Trask will be a starting QB... in the UFL.

Can you imagine being bad enough to "earn" a top 10 pick and your option at QB for the following season is to go with the QB that's been the backup for 4 years?

Not hard to imagine top 10 two years in a row, just gotta hope the draft is loaded.

That equals at minimum new HC/GM combo on 2026.

I'll be honest, if we went 7-10 the next 2 years, odds are I'd be ok with keeping Bowles and perfectly ok with firing Licht.
