Afraid we're going to lose this one today boys.
It's about match-ups, we don't match up very well.
How so?
QB: Bucs
WR: Bucs
RB: Saints Run D: Bucs Pass D: Push (both terrible)
Special Teams: Bucs
If we lose this it is not because of match ups....
Your bias is showing in terms of defense.
The Run Ds would be much more of a push than comparing these pass defenses. The Bucs and Saints are 1 and 2 respectively defending the run. New Orleans in fact allows a league low 3.3 yards/carry and have allowed a league best 1 run of 20 yards.
In terms of pass D, the Saints is better than the Bucs across the board except INTs. They allow fewer yards, have allowed fewer TDs (6 vs 14) and have a significantly better completion percentage against (59.9 vs 70) than the Bucs.
The Bucs have a significantly better offense but the Saints D is significantly better as well. This is a very good matchup and should be a close game throughout.

It helps if you understand what the game is about before you comment.
You might at least know what I'm referring to. Geez!?
I knew when the 3rd string QB came in we were done.
Sigh.
You were dead on about the matchup. I expected a close game in our favor because of the matchup. But it would've taken us winning the turnover battle. In a 9 point loss, 16 points allowed on turnovers. That's the difference.

Saints def matches up better than anyone else against the Bucs offense.
Despite the match-up, turnovers, and penalties we scored 27pts and had the ball just needing a FG to win.
27 should've been enough.
The Bucs defense needs to find itself in the second half of the season or we'll be one and done come the playoffs.
They scored 17 of their 36 points off of turnovers, 7 of them were the pick 6.
Not saying they need to do better, but as we saw for years, it's pretty difficult to overcome those turnovers, especially when they lead into short fields and scoring.
Brady really wanted to throw a pick on that 2nd to last drive. The pass right before that was almost picked. It's almost like he wanted it all with 1 pass.
